Their take on a Feta/Greek salad was really good and super fresh flavours, terrine Grand mere with cornichons excellent. The wines here are the stars but the food is always first class, beautifully presented and the patrons very welcoming. As someone else here commented it's not a restaurant but it's a great night out, not to be missed.

Chez D.D. is not really a full menu restaurant but rather a very small family run place that specializes in charcuterie and cheese platters as well as terrines and salads.
The wine selection is great and reasonably priced, for the most part.
We had a combo platter of charcuteries and cheeses and a side order of grand mer terrine. It was delicious and almost too much for the two of us to finish.
A highlight was the owner suggesting a bottle of wine for us that we would never have thought of ordering. It was perfect and not too expensive.
A great but somewhat unusual dining experience in a fun atmosphere. The owners obviously enjoy their work.

Sorry to be a kill joy but it's a wine bar that serves plates of ham and cheese....or did I miss something? And it is shockingly expensive....walk on by. I think people have been caught up in the moment (or drank to much wine). Plates of cold sliced ham does not constitute a restaurant.

Couldn't resist the TA reviews of this quirky place. If you are partial to wonderful charcuterie and fromage, wonderful hosts and good wine, don't miss eating here. A very different experience from most other restaurants. Small place, intimate (tight, informal) seating, hosts very relaxed. Felt more like hanging out in their dining room at home than in a restaurant. Food was great, including the fois gras!

How good to find a real wine bar away from all the usual touristy cafe's and restaurants on the main drag. Just a little walk around the back of the basin. Chez DD run by a couple who appreciate and serve good food and wine. They specialise in wine from the Basque. We wanted something different from the usual food format found in Honfleur and we found it here. A very nice bottle of Pomerol with a plate of delicious cheeses and bread. You could also have mixed plates of ham and cheese or seafood. A small room downstairs with some overflow seating upstairs. Nice atmosphere. It is very nice service but not fast. Just be prepared to savour and enjoy.
