Really enjoyed this place. I was jetlagged, hungry and tired and didn't really feel like going out and I didn't want to get stuck in some loud restaurant for hours. This was right around the corner from my hotel although if you're staying in the historic center it's on the outskirts but not far. The proprietor is super friendly and speaks more than enough English to talk you through a menu and since my high school French always leaves me wondering if I ordered what I think I did, that was a relief. Plus the place was comfy to sit in by myself and have a glass of wine and read my book while I waited for some beautifully cooked chicken and mashed potato and a salad. Everything was simple and nicely cooked. I didn't care for the mashed but that was just a flavor preference rather than a comment on the cooking (Used olive oil, I think. It had a strong flavor) . But they were cooked well and arrived hot. I'd go back to this place and will try to do so on this trip. I think it's as close as you'll get to eating at home when you're traveling. Well...eating at home if you're a really good cook!!
