I loved the chateau , it is very authentic, the atmosphere was very nice, the rooms are big with nice terrace to the garden, there is a small river just outside the room, very clean .the car parking is very comfortable, also very convenient, the breakfast is simple but enough.just be aware that most rooms are in an annex build defenetly will go back.

Room Tip: the hotel have some kins of rooms, also rooms at the first floor without elevator, you should check before with the hotel.

We stayed here in late June 2015 and loved it. The room was comfortable and quiet, overlooking the back terrace. We have read some negative reviews of this hotel because of its location: it is true that to reach the chateau you have to drive through a light industrial or commercial estate, but as soon as you drive through the gates of the chateau's grounds you are in a beautiful, tranquil environment. The chateau itself is lovely and the surrounding grounds feel cool and calm. The dining terrace at the back of the hotel is charming - you sit out under the lovely old lime trees overlooking a garden. The food is excellent - the beef tagliata and beef fillet were outstanding. The buffet breakfast was also delicious, with very fresh ingredients and a more interesting selection of breakfast dishes.

Avoid this place. Rude, inefficient reception staff. We asked 5 times to have a room with functioning air conditioning, which was unacceptable with a 4 month old baby in tow. It's situated in the middle of an industrial estate, although you wouldn't know it from the website. We enjoyed leaving and cancelled our second night stay after the worst customer experience I've had in 20 years.

Room Tip: Avoid staying here

We arrived to this hotel in July 2015. The Château is beautiful. Unfortunately we were put in the annex, which is not at all like the Château. The air conditioning was working but the room was depressing and the shower was not working well, as water was splashing everywhere. When we insisted on being in the Château they gave us a room in the Château. The room was great, the only pitfall was no air conditioning, but the maitre d'hotel gave us a ventilator which helped a bit even thought he room was still hot. The wife was working.
The hotel terrasse was beautiful and the food ok. Nighttime for drinks was great. The swimming pool was very nice.
Finally the personal was very polite and did everything they could to help us.
Tip, if you go to this hotel make sure you are in the Château. If you don't mind during the summer not having a lot of air, if you keep the windows closed (because of mosquitos) this place is very good.
I loved this place...

Room Tip: ask to be in the Château

Our first stop on our four day tour of southern France was at Chateau De La Pioline a great place to base yourself to visit the lovely surrounding villages and Aix en Provence city centre. It is out of town a bit so you do need a car. The Chateau was delightful very peaceful. The rooms were very nice with a small balcony to sit on after a day of touring. You were able to eat outside in the gardens for lunch and dinner which was very special. The staff were excellent and very helpful especially Claire. She told us the best places to visit. She was also was able to provide gluten free bread for my husband.
