We were so warmly welcomed by the staff at this hotel - nothing was too much trouble. The property is an old chateau, but so beautifully maintained and presented. The room we had was a good size, with views over the hills and the sea. The beds are very comfortable, and plush, we had huge bath towels, and also a coffee maker.

This is a lovely hotel in an amazing location. Reached through a series of tiny, narrow streets, the hotel is a fantastic destination with comfortable rooms, great views and good service. Well worth the visit.

We stayed here for 4 nights in a de luxe room which was spacious and had a wonderful view of the surrounding hills. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The hotel is a gem, and the staff are very helpful, particularly in the parking of cars as there is limited space at the hotel. Our only minor criticism is that the restaurant evening menu had only 2 main courses - fish or duck - neither of which we fancied, so, regrettably, we did not eat there. Additionally, the bar was not available on our last night as the Receptionist was not allowed to sell alcohol. That apart, it is the only place to stay in Haut de Cagne. If you hire a car, however, get the smallest car possible, as the alleys are incredibly narrow, and you have only centimetres to spare with a medium size car such as a VW Golf. Highly recommended - we would stay there again if we ever return to Haut de Cagne.

Room tip: De luxe rooms are outside at the rear of the hotel and are superb - very quiet.

We had a great time at Le Cagnard. The location is amazing, so is the staff and the character of the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The food was very nice. There is a nice fire in the lobby in the evening. The only issue was with the wifi. The connection was not always great.

Well...in an area where fine hotels abound, this absolutely wonderful hotel puts the cat amongst the pigeons! Chateau Le Cagnard is superbly situated in the medieval village of Haute Cagnes which is uniquely in sight of the Mediterranean! The hotel itself is a dream both inside and out with a beautiful restaurant and the friendliest of staff. Now then ... next time will it be Cap Estel, Carlton or most likely .. Chateau Le Cagnard
