Hotel is situated in the middle of the shopping street, 5min walk to the old town (a lot of restaurant for dining) and 5min to the beach. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better location.
We were on a budget and this hotel offered us the facilities you could expect from a 2 star hotel. Hotel room was clean, air conditioning worked, shower&toilet were okey and there was a fridge in the room (always positive for cooling Cava...).
This hotel isn't the greatest but with 60€ a night it's okey. Rooms are old but staff friendly (at least when owner is present..).
Remember to ask about parking, it'll be cheaper via the hotel then parking you car randomly on a parking hall.

Three of us stayed during MIPIM and all experienced very noisy rooms, I think the hotel has not been decorated or had any money spent on it in years - yet it could be a real charming hotel.
The owner is very proud that the same family has owned and run the hotel since 1958, and he and his team are very friendly and helpful - but the rooms: holes in the ceiling, a nail (yes nail) for a towel hook, brown cold water with metal pieces in it suggesting the water tank neds servicing and no digital or free news channels or radio.
Shame because its located just next to the main shopping street and two minutes walk from the Harbour, Palais and restaurants.

Room Tip: The hotel is like a tardis - I suggest rooms away from the front street as this is noisy in the mornings (5am onwards)

The reception is every thing, flowers, magazines, infos, maps and the owner. He is the King. What he does not know its not worth to know.He gives the ladies flowers and the gentlemens drinking tickets to Majestic Barriere Casino. The rest is not so fun.The rooms are dirty, everything is old.The rooms have AC ,fridge, toilettes and showers. If you can take it as it is.OK.The hotel needs a totaly renovation.Ialso miss his old staff,Its seems like the new one doesnt like to do what they are doing or what they dont. But it got french charm.

Room Tip: Tell them you want to see the room first .

If you're out for the glitzy places in Cannes, the beach promenade and the expensive shopping, this will not be for you. But if you rather like the local southern French life and the small alleys and you're used to travelling across a variety of places, consider this family-owned hotel. Location is excellent directly at the main shopping street with only two blocks to the railway station in one direction, and another two blocks to the festival palace and the beach in the other. The decoration used to be very nice, now its a more than a bit worn out. Rooms are good, with everything one needs. Service is excellent, and everybody is really helpful and welcoming. Last, but not least, the price is really ok for a place like Cannes.

Stayed at the Atlantis Hotel for three nights during the Mipim, when the city is very crowded. I really liked the hotel, it is not that fancy but very french and the hotel staff is very nice and service minded. I've been living at much more expensive hotels where the service level been far lower.

When you book a room you shouldn't have to high expectations on the room standard, but if you put a high value on service and central location this is right on target. I will live here when I get back next year...
