If you're considering Le Mas de Mougins for your holidays, don't doubt booking it for a second, it really is a fantastic chambres d'hôtes, perfectly located at the juntion below the town of Mougins, built in stone in the traditional style of Provence. The rooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated in shades of gray with all the comforts, falt screen tv, safety deposit box, mini fridge and hair dryer. Each room has a private terrace and is situated around the pool. The pool beds are very comfortable and there is a generous supply of large pool towels, which you can also take with you to the beach, which avoids you having to travel with towels.

The breakfast is absolutely wonderful at Le Mas de Mougins - it's more like a brunch, served on a table d'hôte, headed by the owner Joel, who graciously ensures everyone is happy with their stay and made introductions between guests if necessary. The display of food is endless - baskets of fresh bread, croissants, etc, a large selection of local cheeses, salamis and sausages, fresh fruit salads and compotes, all types of jams and yogurt, as well as typical specialities prepared by his wife Sonia - during our 4-day stay we were served omelette provençale, tarte tatin with heavy cream, crêpes, pain perdu with apricots and chocolate cake with raspberries! Breakfast became one of the main highlights of our trip and provided such a tempting display of food that we usually skipped lunch.

For all these reasons, and a couple more, we will definitely return!

Where can I start, from the warm welcome to the beautiful suite with a huge terrace, elegantly decorated , the grounds are magnificent, Joel the owner told us, it used to be an old Jasmin farm, we relaxed at the pool and Joel came with some amazing mango sorbet in the middle of the afternoon, we were treated like family, the breakfast served poolside was out of this world, cheeses, homemade marmalade, fruit salad, yogurts, assorted bread, cold cuts, tarts and more. I wished we had more time to enjoy that peaceful and charming place, we will go back for our next trip to the south of France.

We fell in love with this little B&B almost at first sight. 5 good-sized rooms around a lovely pool area, all done in French country chic. The breakfast was quite possibly the best I've ever had in my travels (and considering my job as a travel consultant that says A LOT!). The choices of delicious homemade tarts, cakes, omelets and "real french toast" was endless. Joel, the owner, was so accommodating and charming despite speaking very little english. While there is so much to explore nearby (Cannes, Antibes, St Paul de Vence, Eze, Nice, Monaco, Mougins itself. etc.), you could easily just stay poolside at this little haven and be happy (and full!).

This was by far the best stop in our French Riviera tour. When we booked this B&B little did we know about Mougins. It is a culinary experience - breakfast, lunch and dinner! EXCELLENT restaurants, the old town is like one from a fairy tale and staying at Le Mas will make your experience even better. Joel was our host and he was so nice to us and other guests, always checking everything was to our liking and very chatty. There are 4 rooms along the pool (we stayed in one of those) and apparently there is a larger one with a large terrace but I did not get a chance to check it out. Our room was large enough for our family of 4, elegantly decorated, tv, a/c and a little terrace. At 9am breakfast is served and this was an amazing experience. Joel kept the dishes coming and coming... unbelievable cheeses, breads, desserts, homemade jams, cereal, croissants, dried fruits, cold cuts, eggs, ETC. Apparently his wife is the cook but we did not get a chance to meet her. Unbelievable breakfast. We had a great time and can't wait to go back!

What a blissful and unforgetable experience. Our stay at Le Mas de Mougins was truly a vacation. We were treated like family and owners, Joel and Sonia were magnificant hosts. The rooms and the house were comfortable, beautiful and most importantly clean. The bed were comfortable, the kids had a wonderful time at the pool, but the most incredible thing in this entire experience was the breakfast, what a culinary experience! the breakfast was additive, it was a gastronomic experience. We didnt want to leave and we definitely cant wait to go back!

Great B & B...good value. Wonderful property, wished we had time to use the lovely pool. The breakfast was awesome....too good....couldn't begin to try all the food. Enjoyed chatting with the owner and other guests. Only negatives were...firm mattress, room & terrace was a bit smaller than expected and no shower. I would stay there again. Loved Fetische...the petite chien!!
