“Slice of heaven”
Reviewed February 20, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Gorgeous time spent relaxing and filling up the soul at le Neptune. The apartment is the perfect spot for experiencing Villefranche-sur-Mer, step off the train and you’re a skip away from your front door one way and a hop from the sea front the other. Inside, the apartment is fully kitted out for a very comfortable stay with beautiful views of the med from the balcony - the perfect place to start and end the day. A lovely welcome from George and Pat that made us feel at home right away, absolutely loved it here, I highly recommend!

“Paradise”
Reviewed February 5, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Pure joy is leaving London on a rainy February morning to find yourself, 4 hours later, in paradise on the Côte d’Azur, drinking rose on a balcony with stunning views of the Med. This was my 4th visit to le Neptune and it gets better every time. Fabulous welcome from George and Pat, a beautifully decorated apartment with all mod cons and such a comfortable bed! Villefranche-sur-Mer is delightful, even in the winter. There are fewer shops and restaurants open but the places that are are extra friendly and inviting. Can not recommend this apartment enough - close to the beach, station and old town. We spent the whole weekend floating as if in a Technicolor film. Bliss.

“Tastefully decorated, well equipped spacious little appartement, conveniently located.”

The apartment is lovely, with a spacious lounge, a functional shower room and a small kitchenette for basic cooking. It is very well equipped and is close to the beach, restaurants and shops. It was also a relief not to have to walk up steep stairs back to the flat, after spending time at the beach or at a restaurant.
However, the view is not exactly that featured on the website, as it is rather spoilt by the railway line and a few rather unsightly railway buildings just in front. Whereas the location may be practical if you wish to make use of the railway, trains run every 3 to 4 minutes and it is impossible to ignore the noise they generate when you are on the balcony or in the lounge. Fortunately, it does not affect the bedroom, which is very quiet.
Street parking can be tricky in high season, as there are'nt many spaces and the police regularly drive around and fine badly parked vehicles.
We did enjoy our stay but regret not having been more careful about checking the exact location of the flat on google maps.

“Most relaxing holiday ever”
Reviewed May 7, 2017 for a stay in July 2016

We're really remiss in leaving it so long to write this review! We loved this place, George was a great host (and a huge help when the train failed to arrive for our homeward trip!)
The location is superb, great to just sit and watch and read a book - in fact we spent one lazy day doing just that. The apartment is superbly appointed, every thing you'll need, great wifi. The bedroom is tiny but the storeage is more than adequate. The living area is probably the most comfortable we've ever encountered. There are loads of great restaurants in the town, and the station is so convenient for day trips. My one reservation is that everything in the south of France is uphill, so get some training in before you go! Joking apart, we loved it and plan to return in 2018.

“Ideal spot.”
Reviewed June 4, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A charming nest from which to explore the Cote d'Azur - that's if you can tear yourself away from the balcony and its fabulous view. 3 mins to the station, 4 mins to the beach, 5 mins to the centre of Villefranche. Well equipped with an extensive library of books on the Riviera. We thought it was really good value and only 6 hours door to door by public transport from Bath, UK.

“A room with a fabulous view!”
Reviewed April 12, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We had a wonderful stay at Le Neptune. The location couldn't be better. Only 2 mins walk to the beach and a lovely 10 min stroll into the village. A stylish and cosy apartment with everything you might need for a comfortable stay . Most importantly, the best view in Villefranche - straight across the bay to Cap Ferrat. It's boat and people watching heaven!
