We stayed here for three nights. It was well located for a 15 minute walk into Vieux Port and right by the bus stop for Cassis. The room was well furnished and has character (i.e. not particularly modern but nor does it pretend to be and that is part of its charm). The room was nice and spacious with room to spread out.

Romain was helpful introducing us to the room and with his tips for the area, although his arrangements for letting guests into the flat for the first time was a little haphazard. Romain does not take credit cards and if you pay by Paypal in advance for the upfront payment when booking he will charge you the Paypal cost of transfer so best to pay by bank transfer to avoid having to bear that cost.

Stayed here for two nights last week. Romain was charming and has the skill of immediately making you feel at home. He will make sure you have everything you need without making any fuss. Excellent location and Romain will give you advice on where to go. Breakfast on the terrace is awesome! Room has just been redecorated and is very comfortable. Like a home from home - a real gem in Marseille!

I spent two nights at BnB Romain&Pascal and it was great, more like a homestay than BnB. Romain was a welcoming and helpful host who gave me lots of insider tips on what to see and do in Marseille. The room was quiet and comfortable and breakfast on the sunny terrace was the perfect way to start the day and having a glass of pastis out there in the evening was a great way to round it off. It's very well located - central and near to transport - and for the price I don't think you could do better.

My wife and I stayed at the BnB for two nights, the host Romain was helpful, nice, and provided a wonderful breakfast. The room was nicely decorated, the whole place was clean, and the terrace was an especially nice addition- we took our breakfast and enjoyed a bottle of wine each night there. Romain was friendly and helpful, happy to give recommendations on things to see, places to eat, and knew the bus routes for some of the destinations further away. Overall we would highly recommend it!

I am writing this from The Loft on the last night of our 3 night stay in Marseille....my partner has written a separate review, which I mostly agree with...the location is really good...a nice neighborhood with many very reasonable cafes and restaurants and very reasonably-priced mini-marts and supermarkets...the Castellane Metro, buses and trams really close...very nice ambience and sense of security overall, as well as many interesting antique stores close by..also very eBay walking distance to the port area and tourist attractions (if you prefer walking, which we do). The apartment itself, located on the third floor of a nice, old building at 33 Rue Falque, is spacious, attractive and has virtually everything most people could want for either a short or long stays, including fairly-well equipped kitchen (but missing a chopping board, tongs, soup bowls and egg-slide), washing machine (but no dryer or rack) and TV/DVD player (but no DVD collection or information as to where to rent DVDs etc). We would love to live in a place like this if residing in Marseille for a longer time, however..some caution- there is no lift and the staircase to the 3rd floor is steep and spiral, making it very challenging for aged or unfit people...especially with large luggage..and not at all accessible for anyone who is disabled, injured or incapacitated. However, the minor issues aside, we really enjoyed our stay...very good value...also recommend Le Table de Papa just down the road at 27 Rue Falque for lunch or dinner...no English, but great food and very friendly service at reasonable prices....and if, like us, you want to see how well the French do with Indian cuisine, try Namaste ...turn right from 33 and right and across the road onto Prado, but stipulate you want "spicy!"

Thank you Romain, for such a wonderful stay in Marseilles. I traveled by myself, and had the best time. The room is clean and stylish, the apartment is in a great location, the breakfast was wonderful, I used the wifi every night to stay in touch with my friends and family. I will most definitely visit again.

Room Tip: The room in the apartment is good for 1 or 2, the other apartments for rent are better for a large g...

Stayed for five nights, Romain was totally great, the room was good clean and well decorated the whole access to the apartment was great the balcony was a little haven a garden in the sky, loved having breakfast in the sun. I will definately be back soon. I thoroughly recomend anyone staying here. Its 2mins walk from the Metro, 1 Minute from the bus stops and a lovely 15mins walk to Vieux Port, shopping is 5mins away the cafes and resturants are at the bottom and top of the street.
Please Please make sure you stay here or at one of Romain and Pascal other great places.
