We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. We had a short walk to Vieux Port, a terrific view from the apartment, and several places to visit near this location. We also appreciated the help we received after we arrived a bit later than expected from the airport. Do note that the view does come from climbing the stairs to the apartment, but it is well worth it.

I recommand this place!
Stayed here for 4 nights in March. The unit is located on the 4 fl and the shuttered windows in the flat open up to reveal a scenic view of Marseille, with Notre Dame de Gard in the background and the marina (Vieux Port) in the foreground. We found ourselves taking pictures out the window on several occasions. The area surrounding the flat is very safe and we saw many locals going about their business. Lunchtime crowd seen next door at the restaurant as well as the open area across the street.
The flat is clean, with a nice equipped kitchen that includes a convenient washing machine (no dryer). It has a separate bedroom and a second bedroom in a loft. We were happy with the flat. A third bed is also provided. Nearby were several restaurants and a grocery store where one can stock up on anything needed.
The location was an easy 3 minute walk to the Vieux Port that has loads of restaurants, and a 5 minute walk to the old town Le Panier up the hill behind the flat that has charming cobblestone alleyways and restaurants. Next door is the opulent Intercontinental hotel.
A 5-7 minute walk from the flat will get you to the Marseille history museum that has a lot of good historical artifacts dating back to the Roman times, including original cobblestone roads.
The owner Michel is very helpful with a lot of good advice on the area. We had no problem finding the flat with his directions.
We found some restaurants about a block or two inland from the south side of Vieux Port where three course meals were nice and cost about 20-25 euros. Located just off a central open courtyard i a pedestrian alleyway.
If in the area again, I would have no hesitation staying here. Since the bldg dates back to the 18th century, there is no elevator, so you will get some exercise climbing the stairs. For us, not a concern.
Would give it an excellent rating if not for the lack of elevator for elderly visitors. Ignore this if this is not a concern for your party.
Great stay at the flat. Thank you Michel!
