Lovely little hotel with lots of character, very comfy bed, great shower, nice breakfast and very accommodating hosts, who were very friendly and helpful to us. The location of the hotel is fantastic with cycle hire, segway tours, boat trips and lots of restaurants literally on the door step, would def stay here again if back in Annecy :-)

We stayed 4 nights in room 7 , first floor said to have view of castle . Good points . Good location a few steps from old town . Quiet, opened 2 years ago after 18 months extensive renovation of old town house , sympathetic remaining of some old features. Individualistic style of decor reminiscent of art students rooms .Artifacts looked pre-owned but mostly new still with tags for sale . Good comfy beds , clean , quality linen & towels , super en-suite with large modern shower ,& hot water . Air-con Free wi-fi, decent breakfast downstairs with nice little garden, or tables indoors .
Missing was wardrobe , only bare rail, open shelves for clothes ,Bare light bulbs . No safe or fridge , no tea making , no TV but i pad offered , no telephone . No lift .Difficult to find access to front door & reception , road is blocked by electric bollards . real problem parking anywhere in high season . Tip , ask reception before arrival for exact instructions on how to get your car to the door to unload suit cases. See pictures regarding access road .

Room tip: Ring hotel about access to door in back street .

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 teenager daughters. We had rooms 9&10 which have communicating (but isolated) doors.
The hotel is very cosy with only 12 rooms, there is a nice garden to have breakfast outside or enjoy a drink when coming back from dinner in one of the many restaurants in Annecy. The owners spent a lot of attention to the interior which resulted in a mix of vintage and Scandinavia-design. Very nice and personal. Breakfast was good with fresh orange juice, good coffee and Danish pastries and croissants. We would have appreciated more fruit especially in summer.
During our stay there were problems with the WiFi which lasted for more than 2 days and resulted for us in a fee of 25€ from our internet provider. The communication about the problems was not really great, in fact we were not informed about the problem (we got a quick reply to our mail) and we were not kept up to date on the progress. We were offered a drink to compensate, which was appreciated.
That was the only draw back but was really inconvenient.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in this unique house at the lake.

We stayed at this charming hotel two nights and had a great time. Perfect little boutique hotel, stylish and beautiful, great taste in everything. Location is simply perfect, nearby the old city as well as the lake. Perfect service, pleasant hosts and delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.

Booked this hotel because of the pictures on trip advisor where each room was individually designed. It is quite unique and offers a close proximity to the old town which is the draw for tourists to visit Annecy and also right across from the lake which is beautiful.
I had corresponded with the owner last June asking questions etc and received wonderful responses. In the letter it states that they will welcome you etc. which one expects in a B and B as opposed to a hotel. It is a more personal experience.
The hotel is on a small street alley off the main road requiring a code to get in....never mentioned in any correspondence. We had to ask the cabdriver to call the hotel to approach. Arrived and a lovely lady greeted us but did not speak fluent English and we didn't speak fluent French which was fine but we could not ask any questions. We never saw the owner until we went to the office the next morning to ask for a map. He acted busy and gave us the map and that was it. We went to breakfast (continental) and put cereal in bowls but no milk. There was no one there. We fended for ourselves and went on our way. Our last morning we asked the ladies in the office to call a cab which they did and I went to pay our bill. The tariff list located on the door for after October 1st was listed and I noticed it was lower than I was quoted. So, I mentioned it. The owner absolutely was abusive shouting and yelling at me.......as the client I was aghast at this behavior. To be sure I could not wait to leave and head for Geneva. Annecy is a lovely fairytale place to visit.......but the service and treatment were not sending us away with a good feeling and this was by far the most expensive nights we had on our 61/2 week trip.

Room tip: The website has all the rooms pictured so you can get an adequate picture of what they will be like. No a/c or elevator so pack light!
