Sébastien hosted a trip to the historic village of Onigt and his family wine vineyard. He provided detailed information on the process of making Beaujolais wine from start to finish. The wine tasting in a historic wine cellar that his family has owned for six generations was entertaining and delicious. We wish we had a way to buy and enjoy more excellent wine from Chateau de Vaux.

I was looking to get out of Lyon for a day to explore the countryside, and I was fortunate enough to have found Sebastian for a private tour (there aren't many group tours because of a slumping tourism industry due to Covid). Traveling with Sebastian is more like traveling with a friend than a tour guide, although he is an excellent guide. He took me to the medieval town of Oingt and then to his family's winery, where I tasted wine while enjoying a Lyonnaise snack of saucisson and cheese. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sebastian as your guide. My day with him in the Beaujolais was one of the best during my three-week stay in France.

Sebastian was a fantastic tour guide for our afternoon in the Beaujolais! We learned a lot about the area, got to see beautiful scenery, and taste delicious wine. A must do if you're in Lyon!!

Wine was good but, I felt a lot was cut out. Not sure if it was a busy time, but we did not follow itinerary. It all felt rushed and cut short.

We would like to thank Sebastian for the wonderful day we spent with him in Beaujolais! It was the most informative wine tasting tour we ever had, and we've done a lot of them. Sebastian knows wine making as he is from a winemakers family. He shared so detailed information with us that we never knew, although we read a lot about wines and winemaking and visited many, many wineries. It is not common to have a guide so passionate about the subject! After the day we understood the philosophy of Beaujolais wines. It is very different from the adjacent Pinot Noir and Syrah growing regions. Our view of the wines changed after the day. Now we will be checking out Beaujolais wines in our wine stores in Canada. The Beaujolais area is also stunning, with hills covered by vineyards, old villages.... We had a memorable day and will likely come back to stay in the area again!
