Well what can I say without an essay.... in 5 years of doing this probably our worst every family experience. We arrived in the area not knowing the area and trying to find something reasonably priced for 2 adults and 2 kids. Ok we never read the reviews on TripAdvisor as it was a spur of the moment thing and it was one of the few restaurants with a kids menu. We arrived at 6.15 pm and asked for a menu.... how dare we as they don't open until 7pm. As it was a lovely evening and we were tired we sat on the terrace thinking we might be offered a drink or two before opening time as there was loads of staff on. No chance! Food when it did come was fine but expensive for what it was but the staff attitude was everything that you would associate with food snobs and we the mere tourists were daring to come into their domain. The place eventually filled up but despite having 4 different staff members serve us it took nearly 4 hours for 2 courses. Awful!

Room tip: Do not eat here unless you have to!

Hotel proprietor has no skills as a host: we were eyed suspiciously over the hedge as we parked, same man then returned to his task whilst we waited in the empty reception; there was no no offer to help my wife with her case going up the stairs, no introduction to hotel facilities and no information in the room. Bedroom and shower room were crying out for some updating, though at least both were clean, and there was a huge fan in the wardrobe to cope with the heat at night. Wifi signal didn't work upstairs. Later we were surprised so many people were dining on the terrace in the evening though maybe it was the exceptional view of the lake or perhaps the food was good. Breakfast was good simple no-nonsense continental and self-service. Breakfast cereals still had the imprint of what had been stacked on top of them. Chef seemed to be the only staff in the morning and had to run the front desk in his chef's clothes. Whole place needs a radical overhaul. Such a disappointment given the potential of the location.

This hotel appears lovely on the exterior. However, you are surprised by the shabby rooms with wallpaper so old and tired, curtains falling down (literally!) and faulty bathrooms. What a disappointment all around. Clearly they pay little to no attention to this hotel other than the restaurant which is on the first floor. I would not recommend the hotel until they completely do a revamp. I did not see all the hotel rooms but I did see three ( its a small place) and the three were a hot mess! They should be embarrassed but they did not seem too professional or concerned. The 2 rooms on the top floor should be closed down altogether! Not worth a stay..

In 40 years of traveling and living in France, this is the worst hotel we have experienced. You will do well by booking elsewhere. Just some of the problems: feces in the shower when water was turned on; hairdryer fell apart in my hands; no kleenex, no toilet paper; no one answering the front desk phone for resolving problems; steps leading upstairs not well lite. Owner obviously not concerned with condition of hotel, his energies concentrated on the restaurant. Employees agreed with us: the hotel is a mess.

My two friends and I each rented a room at the hotel in July 2017 during a bicycling trip around Talliores/Annecy area. Everything was great. We brought our road bikes from USA; and the hotel was very accommodating/helpful and gave us special attention. Management and staff were great. The on-site restaurant is very good and same for the bar. My room had a nice views of Lac Annecy; and the beach is a short walk from the hotel. The cost was reasonable and our expectations were exceeded. I highly recommend the hotel.
