This was our second trip to Freiburg and we opted for the Mercur based on a stay at one of your Berlin properties. We were not disappointed. The rooms are nicely appointed, the breakfast is great and the staff friendly. The location of the hotel, short distance from the old city and the Freiburg Muenster was fantastic.

Its about 1.2km from the Freiburg Hauptbahnhof. Expect to walk around 20 -30mins. The walkways are all cobbled and therefore it feels rather uncomfortable to drag the luggage for the entire distance. If you like, there is a Tram bus #4 that goes to the city centre- from there its just a short walk to the hotel. The Tram bus stop is on a bridge over the railway. It's a loop service. We decided to walk instead. Head in the direction of the freiburg cathedral- you cannot miss it since it is a very tall structure. The hotel is to the right side. Use Google maps to lead there. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here for 4 nights. The room is spacious and well designed for long term stays. We were given the highest floor (6) and facing the mountain. Fantastic view! I had my morning coffee in the room and it was such a pleasurable experience.
We tried the buffet breakfast (€22) and really enjoyed the spread. I particularly liked the smoked salmon. I would recommend the breakfast.
This hotel is inside the city centre and very convenient to shop, eat and visit places like the cathedrals. Do note there's a market every morning from 9 to 12 around the cathedral square. You can buy fruits, vegetables, etc. Have your currywurst breakfast from the many stalls there.
I would definitely stay at Mercure Freiburg again in my next trip.

Very well-located hotel, just a few minutes from Muensterplatz and 15 minutes from Freiburg Hauptbahnhof. The rooms are spacious and quiet and have comfortable beds. Sanitized and cleaned bathrooms. Special thanks to the staff, all of them are very kind and attentive. Breakfast was with a variety of options and all were very tasty. Nothing to complain about the hotel, everything was perfect during our stay. All the staff are focused on providing an excellent experience. There is no doubt that this is one of the best options when visiting Freiburg. We recommend it and hope to return soon.

The hotel is in a good location, just a short walk to the Muensterplatz. There is a (very busy) parking garage (payment required) below the hotel.
Check-in was easy and the staff was very friendly at all hours.
The room was a good size and had a coffeemaker but no mini fridge, unfortunately. The bed was comfortable and there were nightstands on each side and power outlets above them--perfect for two people charging devices at bedside.
The bathroom had a large shower with no mold--good job, housekeeping! The shower water pressure was acceptable.
The free WiFi worked well.
I have stayed here several times before and will likely stay again the next time I'm in the area.

A beautiful hotel and its location is great, close to everything, and the staff treat them wonderfully, especially Mr. Uwe wollf. The hotel is characterised by tranquillity, comfort, air conditioning, and the most beautiful thing in it is close to the centre and the train station.
