The hotel is nearby the center of the town.
There is a cover parking with charge.
The staff is really kind.
The room clean, well isolated from traffic noises.
The final price was correct.
The hotel might improve by remuving mouquette from the rooms.
The breakfast was enough complete, with fresh foods.
If possible I suggest to offer some cakes more.
After getting off a long train ride and hauling luggage through the station, we were thrilled that Park Hotel Post was only 1 1/2 blocks from the station, an easy walk even with 2 weeks worth of luggage. The hotel is very comfortable, and has a scenic location next to a park with wine grapes growing. It was less than 5 minutes walk to the heart of the old town. The breakfast buffet was very good and got us off to a good start every day. Traveling with a friend, we got a twin room, and my only disappointment was the arrangement of the beds, as I couldn’t sit in bed and read the normal way. But the room was otherwise comfortable, very clean and had a closet for hanging clothes, something I appreciate as many hotels have done away with them. We also loved the town of Freiburg—it’s charming and surrounded by beautiful mountains.
I spent (for the second time) a week at the Freiburg Park Hotel. I can highly recommend this hotel for all the good reasons: the location (very close to the train station), the comfort, the design, the clean rooms, the great breakfast, and above all the warm service - from the cleaners, through the dining room to the front desk. The place is very central.
If you happen to get a room on the 3rd floor facing the small park - you might think you are in Tuscany....
Pillows are not the best part of this place. Other than that - great place
Well-located hotel just outside the charming historic heart of Freiburg. We asked for rooms on the building’s quieter park side. With the window open, there was hardly any traffic noise or sound of church bells (the latter is apparently an issue closer to the city centre). The main occasional disturbance was rowdy people who’d had too much to drink. Our room was spacious with a good bathroom. Other pluses were the on-site garage and the good buffet breakfast included in the room price. The disappointment was the ruthless modernisation of the interior of what is a historic, 19th-century hotel - as unfortunately is so often the case in Germany. The rooms and dining room must have once had charm but, sadly, no longer. And the choice of hallway carpets is appalling. Still, it gets a 4/5 from this Tripadvisor.
The staff was wonderful, the location is phenomenal, the breakfast was delicious (especially the ham, which looks deceptively simple but holy cow the flavor), and the room was clean and big by European standards. I can’t find fault with anything about our stay, there were even sweets in the lobby, at all times. I would definitely stay here again!
