Fantastic hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, who gave us a map to find the Christmas markets and also recommended nearby restaurants. The location is close to the train station and main shopping street. The whole hotel and especially our room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. To our surprise and delight we were upgraded to a junior suite, and although we overlooked the train station and a construction site, the room is so well insulated that we didn't hear any of the outside news. I used the pool and sauna and it was warm, clean and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend.

Let me be clear. This hotel has everything to be the best hotel in town: superb location, large rooms, great shower, good breakfast.
However there are several smaller or bigger details that do not allow it to be a true 5-star hotel. Although they match the price range of the most expensive hotels.

Having visited Stuttgart several times and always staying at the 2 other 5-start hotels, I found the following as "no-go":

1. Free internet is crap. Period. In 2017, in a city like Stuttgart, in a so called "5-star" hotel, offering WiFi at the tremendous speed of ...1Mbps is a joke. They could easily offer a fast and reliable WiFi at almost no cost. Now it's 8 euro per day for the fast option.
2. Housekeeping needs training. Out of 3 nights, they did not bother cleaning our room on the second day. Yes there was a "do not disturb" sign at some point, but the room was also empty for several hours. They could at least call to check if we need anything. It's a shame having to ask for clean towels at midnight.
3. The hair dryer was not working. Sure, it happens. We called, they came to check, they promised to fix it. But we had to ask again the next day and it was fixed on the day after.
4. Breakfast is good. Not excellent. If you want to experience "excellent", for the same price tag (which is not cheap after all), you can walk out and reach Am SchlossGarten hotel in 3 minutes. There you have superb breakfast (variety, quality, service). I repeat, for the same price tag.

I want to be fair, but at this price range and hotel category certain things cannot be overlooked. It's a pity because the hotel can be fantastic. But hey seem to shoot themselves in their foot.
** To their credit, they gave us a sort of discount upon checkout.

Ordered online and by mistake instead of Stuttgart booked the hotel in Munich with full payment . When I realized this, I was very upset. However the hotel Manager kindly agreed to book me a hotel in Stuttgart and it can be free to cancel my mistaken reservation in Munich, which allowed to save about 1000 euros.

This hotel is conveniently located right beside the train station and was very convenient to the Christmas Markets. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were excellent and very modern. Love the USB ports beside the bed or easy charging without converters.

I expect more of such a great Hotel! It was ok but not more than that. Sorry. It was the 5th time that I was there.and it was less good as usual. The hotel needs a refreshening make over! It's not the standard of a great hotel anymore.
