We moved to Stuttgart for work purposes and while looking for a permanent place we decided to stay at the SI Suites, it did not dissapoint.

Location - 5 out of 5. Walking distance to Kelley Barracks, across the street from the big theaters and good dinning and a nice quiet area.

Price - 4 out of 5. The prices are somewhat higher than other places but with a VAT form and a 30 day long term rental it is very comparable to orher area hotels.

Rooms - 5 out of 5. We stayed in a kids suite and an executive suite and had plenty of room. The rooms are very modetn, with a kitchen and work desk area.

Overall, this place is pretty good. We really loved the breakfast, and how pet friendly they are. If looking for something close to Kelley barracks or the Stuttgart Broadway, then look no further than the SI Suites.

We stayed here for two months upon moving to Germany. It was good for starting out, with helpful staff, a great location, and a good room.

The pros: the location is good. At first it seemed odd that there was a corn field on one side of the building, and a theatre with restaurants on the other side, but that is not unusual in Germany. There is good public transit nearby, and Kelley is just down the road. The restaurants were helpful for dinner.

We got a kids' suite and that was helpful. Gave the kids a room of their own, and the suite is a fairly good size. The breakfast is good, lots of choices, and the staff consistently pleasant and helpful. They called us taxis, printed documents, recommended restaurants, were always in a good mood and willing to help.

The beds were really comfy, and the cleaning staff flexible and conscientious.

Not so great aspects: the parking garage is under the building, and can be tricky to get into the first few times. (weird turns off the Autobahn) The internet connectivity is a bit tough -- limit of 3 users per room, and sometimes even that was stretching it. There are only two washers and dryers for the entire hotel, which is nowhere near sufficient. And, important to note: although there is indeed a kitchenette, it does NOT have a stove. There is a microwave, and a fridge. I bought a hotplate at one point, but it threw the circuit breaker, so we ate out for two months. There is no business center for printing documents, just fyi.

There is a spa just across the street.

This is an above average hotel in a great location in Stuttgart. Most military stay here because it is located close to Kelley Barracks. They have a nice bar, good breakfast, and nice size rooms. Entrance to the rooms is like an outside US motel - you access the rooms from outside so its not a great choice in the winter or fall.

This place is located near the metro and its right across the street from SI Centre. You can't beat the area.

Room Tip: Great location with average rooms

Visited Stuttgart with my wife and son for a business and pleasure trip. Good location, from the airport is near Salzager on the U3 route on Plieninger strasse. At check-in placed a problem with the booking with 4 year old child was that the classic room at EUR 110 could not be opted and the executive suite of EUR 40 per night additionally was provided saying it's not allowed to include child even though extra bed isn't needed. Breakfast is another EUR 19 per person additional, child of 4 years is charged the same too. They have good sandwiches and pasta too. Would definitely try the Dormero hotel next door in my subsequent visit.

Dear guest,

thank you for your feedback and that you have taken time for writing it.

We have had a look at your reservation. We have charged you a much lower fee for the children's breakfast than the 19 EUR.

It would be a pleasure to welcome you back at our hotel.

I was really impressed with the huge breakfast buffet. It had fruits and yogurts. Many German and American cereals. A pot of coffee is brought to your table. A complete variety of lose leaf teas and tea bags are at your disposable. A real honey comb is dripping for your taking. A toaster, toast, rolls, and a long loaf of bread should have just watch you are looking for in the morning. Hot lunch type foods and hot breakfast foods are offered. Pastries and hard boiled eggs are next to the cappuccino machine. As soon as you walk in there is sparkling white wine with tall glasses. You can squeeze your own oranges or pour fresh squeezed from the jugs. A long variety of meats and cheese are next to toppings and dressings of many types. I am missing several items, but this is a hotel review, not a breakfast buffet review. There are two sets of washers and dryers for the entire complex. Buy your token at the front desk. They have detergent if you need. Look up at the board at the front desk to see if you have any mail waiting for you. There are always gummy candies at the front desk on the far end and fresh apples next to the door. There seems to be an herb garden. I jogged several morning around the corn field in the back of the hotel. The music hall is next door. You can hear musicians practicing all hours of the day if your windows are open. House keeping is very nice. Everyone knows some English. Most staff smokes. So many people in Germany seem to smoke. A really great feature is a day-bag for the spa across the street. It is a heavy green bag with a really heavy robe, slippers, shampoo, and 2 towels. Umbrellas are available to borrow. You have the option of having a kitchen. It has a microwave, not an oven. I have been drinking the tap water. It has a nice flavor. A safe box is in the bedroom. Be careful in the shower. It isn't really big enough to stand with feet together. You need to stand a bit sideways. AND, be careful because the shower can get water all over your bathroom floor. There is soap and hair dryer in the bathroom. I like the variety of furniture. However, the coffee table is really high, but too low to be a table. I like that there is an ironing board and iron. The hallway makes it feel like a home. The staff is very friendly. It is nice that they all seem to know your face/name after a few days. The location is good. It is near the train (very important) and highway route 27. It is only a 7 minute drive to the airport without traffic. Traffic can be horrible. The Kelley Barracks is less than a 20 minute walk. OBEY THE TRAFFIC signs for pedestrians. There are two theatres, a few restaurants with weird limited hours, a casino, and a naked day spa. I solicited the gas station often. The coffee there was hot and the sandwiches were very filling. This gas station was a very popular place. If you have a problem, just ask the staff. They are all really happy to help. Check if you need to pay for Wi-Fi. The TV has a few English channels. It has 6 or more languages listed. There are movie selections. I think you pay for them, not sure. There is no air-conditioning. When I needed the heat turned on in July it took a long time to heart up. The balcony was wonderful. The sunsets were late during the summer. Some of the red skies were spectacular. I didn't go to the bar. It offers pizza, but not much more. There is pizza delivery to the rooms. I don't think you tip more than a EUR /dollar in Germany. There is a place called Co Worker, it seemed to promote computer access, but I am not sure if you can have access to a printer or fax. It is very clean. The staff is very good. I would stay here again, but only if I bring my own pillow. I truly had neck and back problems directly due to their odd pillows.

Room Tip: I think a room with a kitchen and living room is useful. I was next to the elevator, yet never heard it run or other guests.
