We recently stayed here from Dec 26, 2017 -Jan 2, 2018. The hotel is not the newest, but has everything one needs: a gym, pool, saunas, spas, recreation rooms for chlldren and more. Our family of four, two grown children and two adults, was very comfortable in a Standard Apartment including half board in House #5. We had a direct view of the Zugspitze from our 'Sitzecke'. There was a kitchenette, which we did not use. The apartment provided us with room to play card games in the evenings. Having a separate bedroom and two televisions kept everyone happy. We got accustomed to the 10 minute walk to and from our room to the dining room, though it could be quite cold and drafty in the winter.

My special dietary needs were dealtwith by a staff which was very cooperative and flexible. The gala dinner also included a vegetarian option. The food was adequate with a lot of variety from the breakfast buffet to the dinner buffet.

All of the employees from the reception to dining room to room service were polite and friendly.

We would definitely consider returning to the Dorint Sporthotel if we come to Garmisch-Partenkirchen again.

Very interesting hotel.

Underground parking with each house connected by underground tunnels so it makes it really convenient to move around when it’s cold and snowing outside.

Be warned though, no lifts to get you to your rooms! So best for those who are able on their feet.

Great value, great breakfast, very beautiful heated pool which our kids loved. There’re also indoor tennis courts and a huge gym, as well as an outdoor playground.

Within the room, we had a very large 2 bedroom Apartment with a living and dining area and full kitchen (20 Euros extra if you want to cook). Lovely views from the balcony and windows. Warm and comfortable. I could stay here for a week!

From the moment we stepped foot into the lobby of this wonderful hotel receiving a glass of sparkling wine, the experience kept getting better. From it's multiple buildings set into the foreground of nearby ski venues to the gorgeous views of the towering Zugspitz and surrounding lesser peaks, the term "charming" would be an understatement. The included breakfast was among the best of the very best with a staff to match. We encountered many families as well as couples like ourselves during breakfast and due to the spaciousness of the property never experienced the lack of privacy... on the contray, we continually enjoyed the quiet, not unlike a mountain cabin. The Dorint Sporthotel is also convenient for walking into town or using public transportation.

It says by itself - return every year, 3 times in a row. And already booked for the next March (2018). So far one issue is persistent - armchair in Standard Apartment is unsafe to seat on - shaky. Funny but this happened every time we stayed there. The rest of the furniture was just fine. See my pic
