Garmisch. Hotel as well located within very easy walking distance to to train stations: one is the short line that takes you to the towns where you disembark to hike and, most importantly, to take the cable car or bus to Zugspitze (highest mountain in Bavaria) or other cable cars to lower destinations.
There’s also an easy walk to town for shopping and restaurants. There is no air conditioning in the hotel. Initially, we were put in a very small room so we upgraded. The upgraded room was much nicer it was bigger. This hotel has no charm but it was certainly adequate, nice, clean and it had a nice and well equipped gym. Also sauna and steam room. Robes and slippers were provided. Instant Coffee, tea are available in the room. The Alps were visible in the distance. The breakfast buffet was very good and bountiful in the European styt. We are tourists and the thing that rocked one of us most was that the breakfast buffet had big Bavarian pretzels on it. This turned out to be more common than we knew. We would stay at this hotel again.

This totally renovated hotel is conveniently located across from the train station. With nicely appointed rooms, a restaurant, gym and sauna it offers a good alternative to more traditional style accommodations around town.

It is just under 5 minutes walk to the train station. Room is clean and good wifi too. Hotel also have sauna and gym room. We had a room which has a beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfast is good. We were provided with the bus card.

Another fine hotel in europe. It was clean comfortable and has a nice view of the Partnak river running by. Very conveniently located near the station and town center. It had a good quality breakfast, and they allowed us a late check out 12pm. pretty fancy restaurant and bar.

Reaching again this beautiful place in Bavaria, Garmisch Partenkirchen, I had the “chance” to sleep one night in the over named hotel.

It was after the winter season so quit empty.

In the restaurant only some lost tourist. When we entered we had the feeling that we disturbed somebody. Something like, look at them they came so late (8 PM) and like to eat for dinner. Nevertheless the food was acceptable.

The surprise came in the room, when i tried to open the door at balcony there was no balcony ...... but the door was there :-). The I remarked that you couldn’t open the door because it was blocked so that nobody could fail down lookin for the balcony. A strange feeling.

The bathroom is old probably 20 years ago and the room furniture as well.

I would rather invest in the interior of the rooms and bathrooms as in the facade.
