The rooms were very cute, the radiators never quite heated the room but they did take off the chill. Pets allowed which is a huge bonus. The drive to the hotel is kind of fun, the parking is free, and the views from most of the rooms, and especially the terrace, were amazing.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The views are amazing and the staff are very nice. There is free parking and it's about a 10-15 minute walk into town. Upon arrival it was a Monday which is a quiet day for them meaning there are no staff. There was a note on the door stating that each persons key is in the box to collect however our key room 14 was not there. There was a key for room 4 and no note on the door regarding this room number as there was with the others so we assumed they had changed our room or made a mistake as they both have a 4 on them. We tried calling and got no answer so instead emailed them and decided to take room 4. After about 4 hours someone opened our door without knocking, turns out there was another couple that was supposed to be in our room. This was quite embarrassing however the owner was very apologetic and seeing as though we had already made ourselves comfortable we were able to stay in that room which I believe may have been an upgrade. Overall besides the drama on day one and not having many staff around when you needed them the hotel was a nice stay.

This hotel offers everything what you need in Garnisch-Partenkirchen. Fresh air, ideal panorama of mountains, silence, good breakfast, free parking, access to nature.
It is not in the center, so you need a car. Also there is only hotel, so you need to eat in hotel restaurant or go to the city. Hotel is not very modern, but you expect some hospitality in such places which you can get there.
I really recommend this place for people who like nature and warm atmosphere.
If you want to spend time in a crowded city center or need modern hotel with the same service as in other city, it may not be for you.

Room Tip: Best rooms are with balconies on the side of Zugspitz, but restaurant is on the same side.

Fairly difficult to find even with a sat nav because we couldn't believe we would make it up the little sleep road past several stone monuments, a church and then into the carpark. You can't see this place from the bottom of the hill so we had to just very carefully drive to the top - i would have hated to meet another vehicle coming the other way as the road is extremely narrow.

We arrived after 6pm so the hotel and restaurant are closed, but a note was left for us at reception. We made our way to our room which had fantastic views over the mountain (and of the thunder storm!). The room was very comfortable and the bathroom very comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent and the staff here are very friendly and welcoming and also very helpful. We decided to stay here a second night and ended up with a different room in the annex which was still nice but didnt have the views. It also did not have a proper shower only a bathtub but the price was lower so we didnt mind.
I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel, though it is out of town and unreachable without a car (if you have luggage anyway).

Room Tip: Pay the slightly higher rate for a balcony room; the view is spectacular.
