The palace entrance fee is very reasonable. You can pay for just the palace or additional carriage house. I would suggest doing both. The self guided tour is well done. Take time to enjoy the grounds

Not in the city center and not really well connected, Palace Nymphenburg is located in a huge city park where are some references to other great European palace (like Versailles). Despite of outside view (amazing) inside is just average.

Just a few of rooms available for a visit, quite expensive by price paid. I will prefer out view than inside view, therefore I will recommend visit from outside and save some bucks

We visited Versailles last year in France and had already seen Neuschwanstein Castle before arriving in Munich. We had a private tour of Nymphenberg for about an hour and it was nicely done. It is similar to Versailles but not quite as opulent, and the stories of Ludwig I and II are very interesting. Very different feel than Neuschwanstein.

Nynphenburg palace is an amazing place to visit!

You can simply enjoy the scenery of the park in front of thr place. Its not that big but has it own charm. You can see a lake full of swan.

The palace interior also has very stunning work of art. Although its not very big but its still amazing

However, traveler who brings backpack are not allowed to enter the palace (even toddler backpack is not allowed) The staff will asked the backpack to be put in the locker. The good things its free.

Its best to visit the palace early in the morning. As it is not a very palace it can be easily crammed with lot of people inside, while you might be troubled to find lockers.

As far im aware there are no restaurant or cafes in palace. There is only one souvenier shop within the facility

Dont forget to bring your umbrella or raincoat during rainy day. Since its an open space
