“Convenient location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2012

The hotel is located very close to the central train station. The room was quite large (we had 3 beds) and the bathroom was very spacious. It was very clean. The breakfast was awesome; I can't say enough about that: breads, pretzels, meats, cheeses, fruit, hard boiled eggs...The only down side is that our room had heat issues; we couldn't turn it off. They offered a new room after the first night but we were gone all day and just decided to sleep with the windows open. Unfortunately, the city noises were loud at times because of that. Overall though, it was a good value.

A mate of ours booked this hotel for our wknd trip to the beer festival.Mainly cause it was the cheapest availiable !! I read some of the reviews and was horrified !!But we had a 97% cancellation fee ! So we kept booking. On arrival the reception staff were polite and helpful,we ha a triple room on the first floor. When we entered room it was perfect, clean& spacious. All bed linen was clean, plenty of wardrobe space and good size draws etc. We had a colour t.v. En-suite with shower. The room was slightly dated , more so was bathroom......but everything worked as it should ! Plenty of hot water etc. Breakfast was continental in style and was perfect, fresh and plenty of !!We stayed here for two nights and on the second day the rooms were cleaned and towels & bed linen changed. Outside the hotel was busy but as per some of the far fetched revews I had read it was very safe. Prostitutes... NO ! Laptop bars and normal bars yes. Overall for a 2* it was perfect. If you want a jacuzzi, room service, water bed, mini bar etc etc do not book this.....wifes anniversary do not book this !!!! If you want a hotel with a perfect location ( train station 5 mins walk) basic clean rooms with excellent breakfast, good bars , good restaurants etc etc BOOK THIS HOTEL. It is what it is people !!!

Room Tip: The restaurant opposite called pipaza was fantastic !!!

The hotel was very close to the train station which was very helpful. However, like most areas in the vicinity of a train station, it was a little seedy. Lots of strip clubs.

However, I never felt unsafe, even when returing back to the room late at night.

Price was reasonable and the rooms were spotless! Very airy and bright.
But bring ear plugs, as there is the usual noise that comes with sleeping in a room on the main street!

Room Tip: book ahead of time on Booking.com

The whole neihborhood is pretty busy with night life and foreigners but, you cannot beat the price or proximity to down town and sights. Lots of food for breakfast - so don't miss it! If arriveing by train - leave from the side entrance and walk down that street - there is a Euro store (like a dollar store) and a large general store - Rassmussen(?) just a couple of doors down from the hotel for most things you might need. There is a decent food place just beside the hotel, too. Free Wi-Fi at the Burger King on the side of the main train station and the visitor center is just outside the center of the train station.

The only good thing about this hotel was its place in the city, since it was really close to the Hauptbahnhof. I was also very lucky, since they gave us the room on the 2nd floor, which was also at the corner of the building and had a cute view upon the street.
Everything else actually kind of sucked. They never actually cleaned and already after the second day, the room was full of dust and hair (and as far as the hair is concerned, I really don't know where it came from). The breakfast was also a little bit disappointing for two reasons. The foods where at a short table, where the guests had to bend over - so it was kind of disgusting in case hair would fall in. Second and most hidious, was that the owner of the hotel propably - a lady, was looking the whole time the guests, as if she was judging how much they would eat.

This hotel is centrally located but has an eery atmosphere. The rooms did not seem clean and there was a lot of noise coming throught the windows, as this was located near a busy street.
The staff were not very cooperative.
