“Style of the early Nineties”

Style of the early Nineties

This house is a dark and depressive locker for travellers. The room is dark with a small desk which is cluttered with TV and accessories and is utterly inedquate for writing or opening the laptop even for a short time. The bed itself consists of two seperate matrasses, soft and low and does note make for a good sleep. The bed cover had a specific and very unpleasant smell. The walls were thin enough so I had to endure the snorring of my next-door neighbor during the night.
The bathroom is old fashioned, no shower, just a bath tub with a plastic cover, consistent with style of the 80s and 90s featured in this house.
In contrast, the breakfast was rich and good, featuring even some Frankonian regional delecacies such as Weisswurst or fried Nueremburger saussages. Considering the the rough, occasionally even rude attitude of the staff, my last breakfast was the best thing that happend to me in this hotel.

It is an ok hotel in an ok location. Hotel is a bit outdated but very clean.
My room was very small, it seemed to be a children bedroom, the bed was far too short like only 1m70 or something. But it was ok a bit expensive for such a small room.

A bit shabby hotel and definetly overpriced. The location is very good, near the river and across the bridge to the old city.
Parking in the back yard is complimentary which is good.
We thought the wi-fi was included inthe room price but it wasn´t. Neither was the breakfast,
which was very good but also very expensive (16 euros). The bar was staffed by student girls
who were very nice but didn´t serve customers well. All in all: the quality and the price didn´t meet.

We have stayed there several times before without problem. The location is a short walk from the city centre over the historic bridge. Staff were friendly and helpful The double glazing cuts out traffic noise and the air con works. Breakfast is more than adequate and provided enough goodies to make up for the lack of proper marmalade. This time we were unlucky and had to change rooms twice before we got one that didn't need a key to let us out because the inside door handle was not working (a fire hazard). WiFi didn't work in our room but was 'repaired' for the second day (but we were still charged for it in the price of the room). We noticed a drain smell at the back of the hotel near the door to the car-park.

Hotel close to the centre (10 min. walk). Payed underground parking. Later it became clear to me that there is a free parking lot as well. I guess the friendly lady at the reception forgot to mention that.

Breakfast very expensive: 16 E.

Walls and carpet in the room looking a bit dirty. The window was open for some fresh air. When we got back to the room after dinner, we noticed some spiders had found their way in. Big ones too! I managed to catch five.

The rooms turned out to have thin walls. You can hear the people in the other rooms. Fortunately, i always bring a set of eat plugs with me for emergencies.

All in all: overpriced for the quality you get.

We stayed one night found the hotel by GPS within 100m and arrived 1 pm no booking but vacancy on ground level was fine simple to roll cases at ground level to back room, Some noise about 6am from delivery van. We even had ground level parking but you need a small car to park and exit. Ok walk up road and across bridge to town centre where its easy to spend 4 hours. Drinks and food good value in the city centre and lovely atmosphere. Little Prague we called this city because of the pedestrian only stone bridge and statues over the river. We are mature 60 yr old Australians who travel europe every year by car for up to 4 weeks and would recommend this hotel for convenience to find, park and price being a Mecure Hotel its always clean & tidy.

Room Tip: Good breakfast but you must be able to walk 500m into the city centre
