I have been in Berlin many times, but this is the first time I have visited the Dali museum. It is a beautiful collection of his less known works. You will see print and drawings.

Thank Charlotte j

Its Dali, so very interesting ... BUT very little information about the works on display (eg few dates, almost no background information of any sort. Many didn't even have a title). Its almost as if they couldn't be bothered. Also, they charge for just about everything it is possible to charge for... so irritating.

Dear mr_karoshi,
Thank you for your visit. We would like to explain some of the misunderstandings you seem to have had at our museum. We have over 450 original works by Dalí, e.g. graphics, books, film and sculptures and more. As a private museum without any financial aid by the government we're really happy that we have the opportunity to show all theses original art works to a broad audience.
Regarding your criticsm that many don't have titles, please let us explain: Dalí always named his art works himself. And if he did not gave single titles to his works (as it is written in our museum on the tags) a reliable museum would never come up with fake titles to satisfy the audience will.
Thank you again for coming. Your Dalí-Team

For fans of Dali there are some beautiful pieces to behold in this museum, however be warned the museum itself is rather disappointing. Firstly, the museum is expensive - on top of the inflated entry fee you have to pay for the guide book (not particularly good or relevant to the exhibition) and they even charge a fee to take photos which we thought was especially ridiculous. Getting into the museum the artwork is varied and fascinating, but the lack of information for many of the pieces (not even a name in some cases) was very disappointing. Avoid unless you're a huge Dali fan.

There are over 400 Dali works, including Dante's Divine Comedy. His lithography press and movies are also included. One of the fils included Hitchcock's Spellbound with Gregory Peck and Ingrid Bergma. Dali was hired for the delusion sequences. Although it is reported much of Dali's influence was cut because of provocative references. Paying the extra US$7 was worth taking the tour with a guide. We learned a lot that we otherwise would not have known by just walking through the exhibit. The tour guide was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic woman from Wisconsin. Photos are not allowed.

Visited this Dali Gallery for around 1-2 hours. Staff were friendly, the guides helpful and the experience was positive.
We went on a Sunday afternoon and the number of visitors was light.
Would not consider the end of tour cafe as worth a visit.

Thank Mr L
