Owner description: Delve into the surreal world of Salvador Dali, one of the most ingenious and eccentric artists of the 20th century. The museum gives visitors with more than 450 exhibits from private collectors worldwide one of the most extensive insight into Dali's virtuosic & experimental mastery in almost all art techniques, directly in the centre of Berlin. "COME INTO MY BRAIN", Salvador Dali called upon the masses. The permanent exhibition shows works in which he shot with muskets on massive lithostones and invented the Bulletism or artworks where he let explode nail-filled bombs or drove a steamroller over a sewing machine. To facilitate the visitors the way into this fascinating world Dali_Scouts will guide visitors conversationally through the museum in public guided tours which are held almost hourly. Open daily (Mon–Sun): Jan–Jun 12 pm – 8 pm |Jul–Aug 10 am – 8 pm | Sep–Dec 12 pm – 8 pm (last entry 7 pm / Dec 24th closed) Public Guided Tours: 12:30 pm | 2 pm | 3:30 pm | 5:00 pm | 6:30 pm

There must be over 200 pictures from Dali on show here, some are incredible whilst others are sort of half finished. The entrance fee for 2 adults and 2 students was 44 euro which considering the amount of pictures on show was extremely good. If you are a Dali lover you have to visit.

We visited as we had reduced price entry with our welcome Berlin card. The exhibition contains lots of similar sketches and unusual Dali works but we found it lacking anything to keep interest. Without a guided tour, there's little explanation of anything and we got a little bored towards the end. A little disappointing.

Dear cakey23, Thank you for your visit in our museum. We would like to explain some misunderstandings you seem to have had during your visit. First of all, we don't show any sketches or drawings at all, but original graphic masterpieces and in total more than 450 exhibits, among them sculptures, movies, books, illustrations and more. Next to the guided tours which we always recommend, we do provide pocket guides to take along as well. It's a pity, that you haven't addressed the museum staff who always will take care of any questions arised during the museum visit. Thank you again for coming seeing us. Best regards, Team Dalí.

I am a huge Salvador Dali fan I've been to the museum. I visited the Salvador Dali Museum in st. Petersburg Florida which is absolutely amazing the guided tours are included and very informative really get you into this world.

Unfortunately this museum is not at anywhere near this same standard as other Dali Exhibits around the world, its expensive and lots of up-sells upon entry.

If you wanna waste some money come here.

Dear John in SF,
Thank you for your visit in our museum.
It'a pity that you couldn't enjoy the over 450 original works by Salvador Dalí which we have on display. The museums collection includes graphic works, books, films, sculptures and more. As a private museum without any financial aid by the government we're really happy that we have the opportunity to show all theses original artworks to a broad audience.
Thank you again for coming. Your Dalí-Team

How to make money out of tourists. Gather some 100+ drawings and sketches from a famous artist, advertise it in key places with vague and exciting flyers, charge 12,50 at the entrance and insistently promote extra services, guided tours, books etc. Better stay away from that kind of exhibitions..

We had seen that this was on before we headed to Berlin. We both love Dali and we weren't disappointed. There is an audio guide which was interesting and well written, and the works are arranged carefully and well presented. You can buy a permit to allow you to take photos which was great, and the exhibition is a lot larger than it appears.
We really enjoyed it and will be going back again next time.
