Lovely part of the world. We saw it by night and day. It is situated in an area adjacent to a square so you can spend time there. Quite close to our hotel the Berlin Hilton. A must see in Berlin as the hitory of it is remarkable

Thank dehnaz

Before the trip my partner said visiting the Brandbenburg Gate would be the highlight of our trip. Not surprising he was right. We were on a city tour but can see it and photo op on own.

This is a must see for any visitor to Berlin.
We didn’t do a tour here, we just enjoyed walking round on our own but that still felt special. It’s much bigger than we had imagined, the scale is very impressive.

Walk through the centre column like an old king. Stand and imagine what it was like being in the same spot at different decades. View it during the day and at night to experience different atmospheres. The usual copious amount of tourists but definitely something to tick off the list on a trip to Berlin.

Impressive architecture and history.

Shame the road leading up to it had works going on though. Tip - try not to eat/dine directly around the gate as it is a bit touristy.
