A really interesting visit to this display of art that was drawn on to parts of the Berlin Wall. Worth the walk out of town, lots of good food stops nearby for when you’re done! All outdoors, so definitely one to visit on a nice warm/bright day.

(....Watch out for the conmen playing games on the street, they’ll take your money before you know it! )

This part of the wall about 1.5 kilometers is an open gallery of wall art from around the worls. Here you get the feeling of how the wall cut through the city.

Well, ve went there with friends visiting us in Berlin, if you like graffiti and “deep quotes”, you may like that, but be prepared for hundreds of people so not sure, if you will see anything. The pictures there are nice.

The art work on the walls was really impressive and it went on for miles. I really liked some of the work. On the downside, it was crowded on the pavements, there were beggars out in force and to get there we had to walk past quite a lot of "weird hippy stuff" and people doing various illegal things. Plus not much in the way of nice cafes although there was one by the river with live music which we enjoyed. But its free and amazing so I accept that if I don't like it, I can have my money back!!

Some awful artwork however a massive part in Berlins history which deserves the respect it gets. I loved some of the pieces and spent some time reading them and reflecting on their messages. It was horrible weather so maybe we didn't give the artwork the time it deserved, however it is a must do just to experience walking along a wall which is only a fraction of its original tragedy.
