I stayed there with my 10 year old son for 3 nights. We really liked the place. High cellings, we even had a balcony that was just above the entrance of the hotel, the building is over 100 years old, but in a great shape!
The breakfast was good, included in the price. The area is fantastic, it has over 50 ethnic restaurants in a walking distance! I was very impressed! The only downside was free internet wasn't quite strong enough and no AC, but AC is very rare in Germany especially in the historical buildings, I would highly recommend this place, thank you!

I know there is nothing at all any hotel can do about the weather but they should be able to assist in controlling the temperature inside. Our 4th floor room for our family of five was clean, spacious, comfy but roasting! All the time! We had a small desk top fan between us. When we asked for another we were told they had “sold out”. Our windows were fully opening with a very low sill - not safe for the children to be around so even if there had of been a breeze, we couldn’t have felt it because we couldn’t open the windows.
We did have some glass on the bathroom floor on arrival which we reported but it remained there for our 4 night stay :-(

The hotel is in a fantastic location, most of the staff were lovely & helpful. The U-Bahn is easy to navigate and we would recommend a trip to the Olympic Stadium swimming pool - it helped keep us cool in the heatwave and cost 12 Euro for our whole family for the day. Bargain.

Walking distance to Berlin Zoo and the Tiergarten and some very good restaurants and bars nearby (try Dicke Wirtin or Aida). That’s what stands out for us.

It was a hot summers day so sleeping with windows open meant I was woken up at 3:30 by cars and noisy people but I guess AC is not standard in Berlin.

All in all a decent hotel with friendly staff!

This hotel is in an excellent location, closest U metro station is Ernst Reuters Pl (about 3 mins walk) and Zoologischer Garten U and S-Bahn is about 10 mins walk. There are many good restaurants and cafe’s close by. We were in a family room for 5 - good size room and quiet, everyone slept well. Staff at reception were helpful. Bathroom and room was clean. Towels changed daily. Tea and coffee facilities available in room. We did not choose the breakfast available due to proximity of cafe’s with cheaper options. Would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Great value for money and staff are always at hand on reception. The hotel is in a lovely area with lots of restaurants nearby. The room we had was better than expected for a 3 star hotel. Not to mention the fact that the hotel is in walking distance of both the zoo and the hard rock cafe. Good location for a city break as transport links are good.
