I booked one night at Hotel Graf Pückler because it was the cheapest hotel room available for my weekend trip to Berlin. It is located in the district of Wedding which itself doesn't offer a lot, but it's only a 2-minute walk from the subway station "Reinickendorfer Str." from where you can reach all major sights within ~20 minutes.
The receptionist was friendly, welcoming and answered all my questions. The room was small but clean and had old furniture and wallpaper from the 70s with a small CRT tv (didn't think I would ever see one of those again). The WiFi connection was great and guests could park their car in the backyard for only 2,50 €. The corridor was dark and had an unpleasant look and smell.
The breakfast was satisfactory (regarding the price) with fresh bakery products, different spreads, fruits and cornflakes. Unfortunately they only had orange juice, coffee and black tea to offer. For a small fee you could also make yourself a sandwich to go which I found convenient.
To me it was comparable to sleeping in a single room of a youth hostel. The only drawbacks were that the decoration is quite out-dated and the hotel itself does not have a "high-class appearance". The price-performance ratio was alright and overall I was satisfied with my stay at Hotel Graf Pückler.More
