“Luxury ..yes !!! Not yeah !!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2012 via mobile

I visited Berlin in first week of May and stayed at Ritz Carlton for 5 nights. What I like the most is the location of the hotel and the luxurious rooms. Some of the major Berlin sites are walking distance ..as Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, the Brandenburg Gate, check point Charlie and others. The cinema street offers all sorts of movies for the movie buffs like me...though I chose a wrong one and disappointed myself :).
The breakfast is pretty good offering wide variety for everyone palate and The bar is pretty functional too. The area is well connected with the tube station just at the front and some of the nice restaurants close by.
I was not very happy with - room service , no tea/ coffee maker, small gym and wifi.
The staff at the front desk and concierge is very warm and helpful...infant while I was checking out, something went wrong and the bills could not be printed..but they emailed me soon.
Overall a nice place to stay and relax.

Spent 4 nights here. Lovely room - large, comfortable and v quiet. Very helpful staff. Hotel in great location beside the Potsdamer Platz U and S trains, so easy to get around the city. Just 2 stops from Friedrichstasse which is served by the airport express train. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection - basically, you could have anything you want.
There is a small fitness centre with a really small pool and a nice jacuzzi. Also sauna. There are several restaurants close by.

this is a classy hotel. the location is perfect, the staff is friendly, efficient, and professional. the buffet breakfast is top notch and the rooms are well appointed. only criticism is the air conditioning is non-existent. the vent is there...the controls are there...but the air conditioning just didn't work. thus, the room was hot and stuffy. the staff did bring a very good fan to cool the room. we stayed in the hotel with friends and their room was the same thing.

so, it's a really nice hotel but the room was stuffy and hot.

Just came back from a wonderful stay at the hotel. Lovely big room. huge bathroom with bathtub + separte shower and with the toilet and shower separated by glass doors - very convinient. Excellent service. Good location - easy to access main attractions and public transportation.

Only downsides - no view (but anyway with so much to see who stays in the room); soft mattress - I liked it but my husband's back suffered.

We will return!

We decided to treat ourselves to 2 nights here and it was well worth it. We had a corner club room which was really comfortable. The beds were devine! We also had paid the extra and had "clubroom" membership which was well worth it. Staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent english.

Room Tip: As I stated - a clubroom is worth considering!

What can I say? The name Ritz itself gives a sense of something grande et classy. Must say The Ritz carlton did not fail to meet its reputation. From the moment you walk in you feel like you're going to be spoilt by the good service and staff.

Upon check-in the receptionist was very polite and friendly and made sure the bellboy wasted no time in taking our luggage up. Upon entering, the table right next to the door had 4-5 fresh German gourmet chocolates waiting as a 'Welcome' gift. Delicious!

The room was very spacious with a good HD tv (which is now pretty standard in most hotels) and a good selection of movies (Pay per view of course). The internet was 20EUROS and hour though. Pretty expensive. Didn't get a chance to go check out the gym, so cannot comment on that.

Now breakfast was fit truly for a King! THE KING! A large selection of waffles, pancakes, Crepes, Donuts, Croissants, Omelette, Meats, Fruits (I could go on). And all the deliciousness can be made to order, and you swiftly get your food fresh n tasty! The staff working at the restaurant were extremely warm and welcome, which is something you need to begin your day!

The reception staff too were a delight. Always helping with suggestions of what is good in the location, and where to go. Always with a smile on their face, and extremely helpful. Nowadays I guess people perhaps give more weight-age to service than anything else, and the service at The Ritz Carlton is fantastic!
