The hotel is lovely and located in a great area, next to remnants of The Wall, shops and dining. Only complaint is that the temperature is centrally controlled so the room was always too warm for comfortable sleeping.

What can you say? It is the Ritz Carlton in Berlin. This place is the standard for international elegance. The rooms are appointed in solid stained mahogany and cherry wood, with marble bathroom counters, and solid brass fixtures. If you like traditional décor and want to feel like you are a rich aristocrat, the Ritz fits the bill. Yes, it is decadent. That is meant as a compliment. The service was prompt, detailed and courteous. We ordered extra towels twice and they showed up within 5 minutes. I was surprised no iron was in the room, but it was delivered instantly when requested. It was simply an amazing room from top to bottom. The doorman ordered a van for us instantly and the concierge took care of every request (we had an issue with a train reservation, which he handled for us). For the price, I was surprised there was no free internet. Seems silly to charge for such a service, since all other services were included. The restaurant was wonderful and the breakfast buffet was perfect. They had a omelet and egg station. They also fixed fresh crepes and pancakes upon request. Even though it is buffet, the waiters will go and get everything you want from the buffet. Great service. It was a nice touch to see the British Beef Eater in full uniform every night.

This luxurious hotel is in the heart of Berlin, perfect for sight-seeing. The restaurant was awesome and the room was gorgeous. I was traveling with my teen son and we had a wonderful time. This hotel is five star classic gorgeous elegance. Service was spectacular and this was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. It was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, yet not snobbish. We took the night train from Munich to Berlin, which was a great way not to waste time since we had a lot of sights to see, but not a lot of time.

The ritz is the hotel to be in Berlin. When you get to the hotel the facade makes you feel like a king, getting into that lobby, walking over that ritz carlton emblem just makes it amazing. The lobby has a classic decor wich has a wonderful contrast with the dinner style breakfast room/restaurant. Wich is by the way one of the most complete buffets I've ever seen. The rooms were prepared at 9 am, the time of our arrival. They were elegant and spacious. The fitness rooms is small but efficient and the pool get's you in the mood... The one thing missing was a turkish bath (steam room) in the spa. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and 2mn away from the sony center.
The only negative point is, when we were making our bags 10 minutes late the staff just barged in rudely to clean it while we were still in it.

My wife and I stayed here for about seven days. The staff was friendly, the rooms were excellent, and we met a lot of nice people at the Hotel's bar. Great central location.

Great place to stay.

I visited Berlin in first week of May and stayed at Ritz Carlton for 5 nights. What I like the most is the location of the hotel and the luxurious rooms. Some of the major Berlin sites are walking distance ..as Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, the Brandenburg Gate, check point Charlie and others. The cinema street offers all sorts of movies for the movie buffs like me...though I chose a wrong one and disappointed myself :).
The breakfast is pretty good offering wide variety for everyone palate and The bar is pretty functional too. The area is well connected with the tube station just at the front and some of the nice restaurants close by.
I was not very happy with - room service , no tea/ coffee maker, small gym and wifi.
The staff at the front desk and concierge is very warm and helpful...infant while I was checking out, something went wrong and the bills could not be printed..but they emailed me soon.
Overall a nice place to stay and relax.
