We spent just one night here, before flying home. Very convenient to the metro system (maybe 5 minute walk). As others have noted, the wifi is a bit flaky. Sometimes it worked ok, other times not at all for hours at a time. Bedds were fairly comfortable. Room was clean, and fairly quiet (not facing the street though). Front desk staff were friendly enough (for Germany).

Room Tip: ask for a room that does *not* face the street

This hotel is situated in a great area, don't get me wrong. I think I paid a little more than I should have. They definitely made it feel budget (lighting in hotel turns on and off as you pass by them, on a slight delay, makes the place feel haunted a bit haha. I was stuck on an end of the building (I got the "apartment", which was ok, I guess.) and the wireless internet was spotty at best, if it worked at all. Really annoying when you are paying something in the vicinity of $150-200/night, plus paying for the wifi on top of it... It is really close to great bars. The staff was always friendly.

Room Tip: Some rooms get better wifi reception than others.

A lovely Russian-style hotel in a lively neighborhood. Staff was super friendly. Everything worked or if it didn't it was made to work :). Nice price and even nicer quality. Would definitely recommend to stay here. Breakfast was nice also (though a bit overpriced in my opinion).

We stayed here for five days over new year. There are numerous bars and restaurants in the area, providing you with a range of different options for dining. The hotel was very warm, with a well appointed bedroom and bathroom. If I was here on business I am not sure that the Business Centre comprising of a small settee, chair and numerous PC sockets would fit the bill.We didn't bother with the buffet breakfast as it seemed rather expensive, but we did find a nearby bakery that served very reasonably priced breakfasts, cakes etc. The transport links are excellent, so it was very easy to explore the city.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights with my friends. From outside the hotel can be look a bit simple but for my opinion inside is 5 stars hotel. The hotel is very(!!!) clean, renovated and causey. I really enjoyed sleeping there. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is excellent... right next to allot of restaurants, bars and public transportation. The only problem i had is that the walls were too thick and i heard each morning the neighbors baby :)

Room Tip: In each floor there is one room next to the elevator that is separate from the other rooms... gives...

This was a fantastic hotel, could not fault for service or cleanliness. It was perfectly placed for our trip as we were going to a concert at the nearby Astra Kulturhaus in Revaler Strasse. It was also very easy to negotiate into the rest of Berlin.

Room Tip: All were great, Berlin is a quiet city anyway so noise is not an issue.

Well presented, great location for exploring Kreuzeberg and Friedrichshain areas. Short walk to station and easy transport to main attractions. Only gripe is that instead of a queen size bed as advertised we ended up with 2 singles pushed together, covered by 2 single duvet sheets! This is apparently standard practice in Germany so best to ask in advance for a double sheet to cover both mattresses at once. . it's better to not include breakfast at the hotel as you can get great food in many cafes close to the hotel that offer a more varied choice and probably cheaper too.

Room Tip: Paid a little extra for a deluxe room, was bright, spacious and quiet
