I am fortunate to have stayed in Berlin many times in the past, so I consider myself familiar with the city and they key areas within. I tend to stay in or around Charlottenburg due to the proximity to the Messe for work, as well as the abundance of restaurants and bars. This was the first time I have stayed in Hotel am Steinplatz and it ranks as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Tucked away amongst tree lined streets the hotel is in a quiet little oasis, and yet only a matter of a few minutes’ walk from the many bars, restaurants and transport links to the rest of the city. There is a cosmopolitan, ‘café culture’ feel to the area that I love.
As you would imagine, the quality of the rooms and the overall hotel are of the highest standard. The bed is without doubt the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
The staff are personable, friendly, and extremely attentive to your needs, and this sets it apart from the many hotels of similar stature, price, and reputation that I have stayed in before. I always try and find a constructive criticism to balance out my comments, but in this instance, I’m struggling. I guess the key question is, would I stay there again? The answer is that it will be the first place I look for next time……….More
