we chose this hotel as close to the airport then flew into the other airport 2 hours away!! Never mind we eventually got there and its situated down a side street, very quiet (back bedrooms overlook cemetery) The rooms were small but clean and tidy although the colour scheme was bland and pictures uninteresting, Some colour would really brighten rooms up. There was a very modern standard lamp which was unnecessary. The windows had black out blinds which were good. Lift and stairs to all floors. The dining room (they only do breakfasts) was spotlessly clean and the food was laid out well and fresh but there was very little variation. However, as someone who eats porridge for breakfast all winter I am not averse to the same thing day after day, there was lots of it, you could have a four course breakfast to set you up for the day and for the money I think its wrong to complain about the food.
The reception staff were great, very helpful, especially the night manager. I would definately stay there again should I return to Berlin (and fly into Tegel)
To get into the centre and all tourist sites its a 10 minute walk down the road (past Lidls and a lovely cake shop) and you get the subway 5 of 6 stops to the centre.More
