This hotel is quite a way out of the main part of town in a quite rundown, industrial estate. I was a little apprehensive at first but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The greeting upon arrival was ok - not warm or cold! We were given the information we needed and went o our room.
The hotel itself can feel a little claustrophobic, the lift is tiny! The decor and furniture is a bit dated but overall, it is clean. The room was clean and the bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished - although it was tiny and had no bath. There is no air conditioning but a fan was provided in the room. The free wi-fi is quite inefficient and drops out constantly. The TV channels also dropped out. There were no tea-making facilities in the room but a kettle, cups and spoons were provided upon request - no tea etc as you have to buy them!
A restaurant and bar is located in the basement. Service was prompt and it was friendly and extremely welcoming. Meals were good and portion sizes were too.
At parking is free as long as you park in front of the hotel.
The area was quiet overnight and I got a reasonable sleep.More
