Amazing hotel. Got early check in and a room upgrade. Awesome details with light control, comfortable bed, loved the pillows and duvet. Big rainfall shower, heated floor in the restroom, overall really nice. Complementary minibar with juice, water, sodas and beers.
Breakfast seems a bit pricy, 35€, so I eat at a local bakery instead.More

The torture Hamburg is locatated near Gänsemarkt making it ideal for anyone to explore the city. It is located within a historic passage that is especially during Christmas beautifully decorated with a large Christmas tree in the centre. The hotel room had very high walls (which made the room appear very large) and was decorated in an elegant stilish way that made us feel comfortable. The room was extremely clean and the ground heating made us feel immediately warm after a clod day in Hamburg.
The Torture Hotel offers a great breakfast that is a combination of buffet and a la card. The a la card options were excellent, especially the french roast was one of the best we had so far. The buffet had great fresh options such as home made jam and honey. Overall this breakfast was better than we have often experienced in larger hotels given the fact that most food was made freshly and a large selection was available.
We would like to come back to this hotel for our next hamburg visit and would recommend the Torture to anyone who is looking for a unique luxury experience.

This is a really nice hotel which is also somewhat 'techy.' I like the fact that there's a panel where you tap the key card to open the room door. Also for the elevator. The rooms themselves also have touch panels for different things (housekeeping, do not disturb, etc.) Kind of odd that there's no phone in the room. They do have black-out curtains, although they're not 100% black-out. The people at the front desk are friendly and speak good English. The price for breakfast is quite high - 35 Euros.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tortue in Hamburg. Centrally located to near by shops and restaurants. The room was well appointed with complimentary stocked mini bar and wifi. Bed was comfortable with many pillows as well as nice selection of channels on TV. Bathroom had shower (no bath) in our room with marble accents and nice products to use. I would highly recommend this very beautiful boutique hotel.

Excellent experience, second time have stayed at Tortue. The hotel concept makes for a sophisticated & comfortable stay with very nice design throughout, from the bedrooms to dining at the brasserie which was fantastic, All the staff from reception, restaurant & bar were all extremely happy to help. The hotel definitely has the wow factor and cant wait to return, if ever there is an excuse to visit Hamburg, then this is it !

Very nice room - most irritating breakfast experience ever: breakfast choices and prices too complicated, bound to generate unpleasent discussions with staff, very slow service, meal took far to long time, check if tiny piece of bread is included, small glass with tap water served only after 'negotiation'. Eur 35 for full package. Cheapest Eur 9 for one cup coffee and two smallest croissant ever seen. To avoid bad start of day go outside for breakfast, if you can. The breakfast arrangement needs to be changed urgently.
