This private small hotel is a unique place where you can feel like you are in your one home. The hotel have only six rooms, but they are a creature of very good taste of the owner. Every room have individual special interior. If you plane to visit Hamburg - you should staying in this nice place.

Over the course of my stay at the Hotel am Museum, I found myself saying "perfect" way too often, but I could find no other words to describe my lovely stay. The hotel is absolutely fantastic -- well located (close to public transportation, 5 min walking distance to the university and 20 min into town, lots of restaurants and cafes nearby), beautifully furnished, luxurious, intimate, and everything you could possibly want in a boutique hotel. Monika and Ines are wonderful, and the many thoughtful touches all around the hotel and room give the impression of pure delight and relaxation. I would recommend paying the small surcharge for breakfast: Monika's eggs, fresh bread, homemade jams, hand-flavoured salts, local meats and cheeses, and the delicious loose-leaf tea or freshly ground coffee make the perfect start to the day. I cannot recommend Hotel am Museum enough and I would certainly stay again next time I'm in Hamburg!

My trip had to be canceled in the week ahead due to illness. When I refused to pay the invoice of the full price of my reserved 3-nights stay (the terms&conditions say it will cost you 90% if canceled in the week ahead), the hotel manager involved an attorney. The dispute ended in payment of 80%. ... Thus, please read the general terms&conditions carefully: they are exceptionally strict and the staff will be insisting upon them.
