Checked in on Monday September 12th and checked out on Wednesday the 14th. My wife and I arrived very tired from a long day of travel and the people working the front desk couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. It's exactly what we needed after a long day. Clean, large room with a separate living room and kitchenette. Everything was updated and nice. The bathroom was large and modern. The location is great. It's easy walking to the subway and a lot of restaurants, shopping and bars. There's no pool. Not the end of the world but something to know. We had few requests but every time we asked anything from the people working they we over the top nice and accommodating. Highly recommended.

I'm traveling for business in Hamburg and I am on my 3rd night stay at this hotel (staying for a total of 6 nights), on my first evening everything seemed great until I turned on my laptop and tried to do some work with their wireless internet (even selecting their premium 9.99EUR internet)... their WIFI really sucked I could not keep a steady connection to my VPN server back in the U.S. and even trying to stream movies with my Roku via netflix would not work properly (using their premium internet)

So I complained to front desk on a Sunday (my first night) lady said she couldn't help me much that day but to bring up the issue to the reception staff on Monday morning, so I send an email via their website complaining about these issues and on Monday morning I brought up the issue to the front desk. They were hesitant and did not believe my complaints about the poor internet (even after showing them evidence from Mac wireless diagnostics) but I asked them to try to put me in a different room since I was staying at their hotel for 5 more nights and must be connected to the internet...

To my surprise the new room they moved me into on Monday has a broken AC, I called in the reception around 11PM when I noticed that the room was not cooling well and asked the lady on the phone if they could send someone up to check the AC, she explained that some rooms were having issues and they were hoping to have it fixed hopefully tomorrow. It was late at night (11PM) and I thought I can try to put up with the heat for a day since its late and I don't want to ask to switch rooms.

Fast forwarding to the next day Tuesday night, I come back from work hoping that the Air Conditioning works this time since last night it was a huge inconvenience since I don't sleep well if its hot.... the problem continued and the AC was still broken. I call the front desk and explain that this was my 2nd night in a row that the AC was broken in my room and asked if they could move me... the guy at the reception made it seem like I was inconveniencing him by asking to be moved rooms a second time because the air conditioning was not working, which is a pretty damm good reason since its a 4 star hotel and air conditioning is one of the amenities...

After I told him that it was only Tuesday and I am still staying at their hotel until Saturday morning he (again) reluctantly said that he would let his teammates known for tomorrow to move me to a different room since they were fully booked for tonight... so fine a second night at a 4 star hotel without air conditioning during the summer.

Now I hope that tomorrow Wednesday they finally move me to a room that at least has all of its amenities in working order (AC mainly). I have given up hope in asking for a room with a good internet connection since its unreliable (the guy at the reception explained that they are getting a new fiber internet installed in a few weeks) but that won't fix my problem. Thankfully my company gave me a vodafone/GSM hot spot that is faster and more reliable connection for me to be able to work on the internet from this hotel... but really charging 9.99EUR per day for premium internet when it cannot be used by the customer would really look bad. I asked them to remove the charges if they show up but have not checked out yet but we shall see.

Also I usually don't write reviews before I complete a stay at a hotel and in general I have great experience with well reviewed 4+ star hotels but the experience at this hotel during my business trip has been awful so far and I still have a few days to go.

Stayed for a night on a group tour by Cosmos. Large, comfortable, well appointed room. Had a separate seating & writing area with a safe, tea kettle & espresso maker. The bathrobes & slippers as well as varied toiletries were very welcome. Wide choice at breakfast. Good location with lots to do around. There was a carnival going on in the park just opposite the hotel. A 10 min walk to Reeperbahn, the world famous red-light district. A 15 min walk to the Harbour where you can go for a Harbour cruise or eat at one of the many options including the Hard Rock Cafe. A couple of good restaurants nearby. Found a small but good Fish restaurant just 5 min walk to the right as you exit the hotel. Run by a family, you can order fresh salads and fish dishes to eat or take away.

We spent a couple of days here and would like to recommend the hotel. When we first arrived the location felt really off but it turned out to be well positioned between St Pauli and the city center within walking distance. Good value for money, really friendly staff (particularly Ricardo took really good care of us), nice rooms and great breakfast.

I do really agree with the other 5 star reviews here.

The hotel has a (nicely done) trendy but understated feel to it. Staff are proper hotel people that care about what they are doing and how it affects you.

Breakfast from 5am to 1pm and a 24 hour bar? That alone is enough to make a booking!

And in a very interesting area full of restaurants and bars, within walking distance of loads to do.
