The hotel is located very close to Hamburg Central Train station (about a 2 min walk). As I walked into the hotel at 11:00PM, there were lots of "characters" hanging around the hotel. Also, walked into a fight between a customer and the receptionist. The receptionist apparently had walked into their daughter's room unannounced. Needless to say, it was not the most pleasant introduction to the hotel. The rest of the stay was thankfully uneventful.
The room itself was very basic. The bed was not the most comfortable. My room was facing the main road, so was quite noisy, not from cars, but people yelling all night !! The towels were stained and dirty, had to reorder new ones.
The breakfast was nice. They had a good spread of choices. The staff at the breakfast room are very nice.
You can get to the train station very easily which makes it easy to visit all the attractions in Hamburg.
There are decent and cheap restaurants near the hotel for lunch and dinner. Some good doner kebab restaurants near the hotel
I would advice to practice all forms of safety as a tourist when you stay at the hotel (watch out for your belongings, passport, money, valuables etc).
Overall, I am unsure if I would like to stay again. The only reason I'd stay again is proximity to the station and cheaper rates.

Nice, clean rooms.
The breakfast was ordinary; bread, ham/cheese and scrambled eggs.
The coffee was not particularly tasty.

We were allowed to stay another hour before check-out (for free). Good service!

Spent 2 nights during a weekend trip to Hamburg. Nice hotel, serves breakfast with lots of choices, nice staff, just next to the train station and the bus station, big-city-noise to be expected (police station down the road), lively neighbourhood.
