Booked here for a business trip. All was generally fine with the hotel. You need to climb a fair number of steep steps to the rooms. Overall: Clean room, comfy bed, desk to work from, good shower. The only oddity was that I had to check-in with a sister hotel across the road (Hotel Residence), where the staff were friendly and the check-in was quick.

I’ll be honest. It’s not a bad little hotel, clean and tidy. Anndddd...that’s it.
If you fancy living on a street that resembles Beirut with a little bit of sh*t sprinkled on top then this is the place for you! Smack heads, tramps, dealers and big groups of nut jobs all hanging outside main door. Rightttt laugh!
First of all this hotel claim to be a 3-star hotel, but I will rather call it a 2-star experience.
It is summertime and there is no air condition in the room, so it was really hot. If you choose to get some air by opening the windows, you will be bottered of the noise from the street and pigeons will try to enter the room.
The standard of the room is okay, besides the missing ac and the noise from the street. The bathroom is small but fine.
The breakfast was standard, I will rather recommend eating breakfast somewhere else in one of the many breakfast cafes or bakeries in Hamburg.
Even though the hotel is close to the citycenter, the hotel is placed in an “exiting” neighborhood. You would like to hold your bag tight.
I will not use this hotel again and I will not recommend it to anyone.
We booked this hotel via Amoma. Com as it stated that this hotel had large family rooms, pets were welcome and that the rooms had air-conditioning. All not true. We were asked to pay an additional 30 euros for our third child.
We had also booked a quiet room but faced the very noisy street. The room was extraordinaryly hot and staff did not provide us with a fan. The room was small but reasonably clean. No tea or coffee making facilities. The bathroom was ok but hairdryer did not work. Interiors quite tired.
The biggest problem with this hotel is the location. It is the local druggie hang out. We saw people using drugs in the street right outside the hotel and it was clear that this is not a safe area. The riot police attended several incidents during our stay and made several arrests. Prostitutes operate in this area too.
We would not recommend to stay here and it certainly was not even good value for money.
Hotel is within walking distance (5-45mins) to all the main Christmas markets (weinachtsmarkt) in Hamburg and about 5mins from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Have to use stairs to get up at least the first flight before there is a lift. Rooms small/cosy but good enough for sleeping although mattress could’ve been better!
Excellent check in service. Good location as is very close to central station. Clean but tired rooms. No tea and coffee making facilities. Seedy location surrounded by numerous adult shops and takeaways.
