We choose this hotel because it is not far away from the underground station UBahn Lübecker Straße (ca. 5 minutes walk). Form there you can reach every place you like to go without having troubles where to park your car. It is only a short ride with the UBahn to get to all main attractions of Hamburg. That makes your visit very comfortable and relaxing. Near to the hotel is the Alsterbad, a public swimming hall.

The hotel is located in a small street with many free parking places at the side oppsite from the hotel. The buildings of the hotel are rather old. We stayed in the building right from the main entrace. We had two nice and quiet rooms, one with a kitchenette one without. The beds were very comfortable. As there is no elevator in the buildung, you should ask for a room on the 1st floor if you are handicapped or have heavy luggage. Our bathroom was very small.

The personnel was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of food, ranging from fresh fruit to scrambled eggs, different kinds of bread, juice, cheese, sausage, etc. as well as coffee or tea.

We felt very comfortable and would love to stay there again.

Room Tip: There are no elevators in the building we stayed.

We stayed at room no2 with our 2 y.o. son. Room was surprisingly very big and with kitchen.
Hotel is located in 7 min walk from the metro station in cosy and quite area.
Stuff was very nice and really helpful.

Will definitely recommend it as basic hotel and will use again when coming to Hamburg.

Room Tip: Room no2 is very big

Our apartment here was very clean and warm, and was very spacious, although the decor is very dated. The location is convenient for the U-bahn but there is little else in the immediate vicinity, however there some nice bars and restaurants etc in uhlenhorst further north, and you can walk to the shops in Altstadt in about half an hour. It's worth mentioning that whilst the area seemed fine, it was very very quiet at night and so we did feel slightly uncomfortable walking about after dark just because there was no one about and not every street is well lit.

The main issue I had with the the room was that the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever stayed in. It was 2 twin beds pushed together rather than a double which I wasn't expecting but wasn't really a problem, but it was so uncomfortable I barely slept! Really terrible nights sleep.

Our TV also didn't work and we weren't made aware that there was wifi, so I'm it sure if we had it or if we just didn't know! I was disappointed by my stay here as I felt the price reflected a better standard.

The hotel is privately run and all staff are very welcoming and friendly. We selected an apartment which has a kitchenette facility. Clean, friendly and comfortable. Perfect for family/friends visiting town or for sightseeing without the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Please be aware that this hotel does not offer any facilities for checking in after 10pm. There is no 24 hour reception, which is what you would expect from a city centre hotel of this size, and they have no facilities in place to pick up a key after reception hours.
As our flight from London Heathrow was scheduled to arrive in the evening (around 8pm), it would have been too risky to book this hotel as flights can always be subject to delays etc.
