The rooms are decent for the price, the location is perfect for getting around. The customer service is exquisite.
2 challenges.
1. 6th floor rooms don’t have a lift. The lift does not go beyond 5th floor. It’s a challenge if you have a lot of luggage or have accessibility issues.
2. This is the worst. Post sundown, there are a bunch of young / late teen / early 20’s crowd hanging around the area. They will constantly try to sell you grass / Cannabis / Marijuana. It can get unsettling at times. Also, will come across asking for cigarettes.

Not recommended for families and ladies. Very convenient for single business travelers or those on a tight budget with high locomotion requirements.

Room Tip: Insist on a room other than on the 6th floor

Arriving in Germany at Frankfurt, we were delighted to find the Manhattan Hotel. Clean, comfortable, and modern, the hotel's amenities were just what we needed after a long flight. It was a fine beginning to our Europe tour. When we had concluded our travels after three weeks, we were happy to check in to the Manhattan one more time before flying back to the US. During our travels, I had accidentally left my personal journal in a hotel in Paris. I was able to confirm by telephone that it had been found, but linguistic limitations made arranging its return difficult. Once back at the Manhattan Hotel, Robert, the hotel's owner, was able to contact the Paris hotel by phone. Thanks to Robert and the Manhattan Hotel staff, the journal arrived at my home in New York shortly after I did. This level of personal service is reason enough to stay at the Manhattan Hotel when in Frankfurt. The massive and high-quality breakfast is another reason.

Had one night here while in transit (arrived via airport, departed via train the following day). Very pleasantly surprised by the modernity of the hotel and the stones throw distance from hauptbahnhof. While the red light district is not far from here, it is not a factor in the comfort and safety of the hotel. Breakfast was filling and tasty. Could not have asked for a better hotel in the circumstances!

Easy to get around for shopping and sight seeing. Just 5 mins walk to the central train station. Room is very spacious.
Weather was great during our stay and we could even walk from the hotel to the old town (Romer square) and on to Zeil, where the shopping malls are located.

The hotel is cool, 2 mins walk from hauptbahnhof. And the place is very clean and tidy.
I booked one double room with 2 beds originally. They upgraded the room to one with 3 beds. This let us rest better because we need to take a long term flight the day after.
And the breakfast is of high quality as well.
Except the fact that only one wifi account is for each room, this hotel is perfect.
