Hotel Spenerhaus is a very short walk to Frankfurt city centre, museums, markets, Main River and art galleries. The breakfast is excellent and all hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was probably the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in. Located down an alley (which temporarily perplexed our cab driver), it is off the beaten path but very close to many great restaurants and sites. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and our room (#204) was quite large. It was also nice to be just down the hall from the breakfast room, which hosted a variety of meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, and juices for free each morning. We walked just a few short blocks to Romer Square, a must-see for any visitor to this city. We also ate twice at Paulaner am Dom, a great Bavarian restaurant about a block away. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful during our two-night stay.

We visited Das Spenerhaus hotel in December as part of our Christmas Market tour. It is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the city and only a few minutes walk from all the sights. We drove to Frankfurt using sat nav and it is very difficult to find, although the sat nav took us to exactly where the hotel is we couldnt see it and had to pull over for someone to go and find the hotel which is hidden down a small side street. Once there it was all fine, the hotel is spotless, the staff very friendly and the rooms very nice. The parking is very good, secure and can be accessed 24hrs. Breakfast was very good, fresh and there was a good variety of produce. Overall we would recommend this hotel and we would certainly stay again if ever visiting Frankfurt again!

There are a lot of good things about Das Spenerhaus hotel. The location just off the Romer square is hard to beat. It's close to a Metro station. The staff is very nice and was easy to communicate with before and during my stay. The room was clean and available early as arranged (and paid for). The rest of the experience, however, was only average. The room is very small...about the size that I might expect in an old private hotel. The bathroom is cramped and the bed is only a single. As others have noted, there is not air conditioning, and it will be hot in the room if it is hot outside. it is also very loud from room-to-room. I could hear just about all of the sounds from the rooms next to mine. Finally, the included breakfast did not have the variety of foods that I usually find in German hotels.
