It was raining when we went, it's an ideal place to visit when it's raining as everything is indoors. The problem was the queue was out the door which meant standing in the rain for a long time. Pre-booking a ticket didn't help either, you need the fast track ticket if you don't want to wait in the rain.

Inside the centre is quite small and limiting however it's good for small children.

The restaurant / cafe was terrible, selection was non existent and it too was tiny.

We went round the centre twice as we didn't think once was value for money.

Allow an hour to explore everything. Indoor sealife and you can take your time to see everything. Beautiful creatures to be amazed. Highly recommended for families with kids and they'll love the experience!

Very interesting place. We enjoyed our walk in there.Especially if you have kids is wonderful!!
Also plays various kinds of presentations from experts for reptiles or fishes. ..The ticket i believe that responds to what is offering and if you hang it through internet,u earn some discount.

We had higher expectations. This place is not as big as it seems. Aquariums showing fishes are small. The 'big' tunnel under the water has no clean glass and due to the lights its not possible to see clearly.
There was no lockers available to leave small bags so we had to carry them during the walk.

It was good that all signs are in English.

Hello Huguito79,

thank you for your Feedback. We are sorry that we were not meet your expectations. We have already told the problem with the glass to the aquaristic and they cleaned the disc with a special magnet, so the visibility is well again. We would like to thank you for this advice and hope to welcome you again.

Best regards

The ticket itself is quite expensive but you can get a discount if you book online or if you buy a combi-ticket with the Berggarten (Botanical Garden) right beside it. I would definitely recommend this.
It is quite warm in the building and as there's also a big glass dome with tropical plants you should make use of the possibility to leave your jacket near the entrance (just make sure to take all valuables with you).
The aquarium starts with fish local to the area but very soon there'll be the tropical fish most people want to see. Sometimes the fish are hidden so it might take some time to sot them. One of the highlights is the big tank with cownose rays and other fish. And there's a tunnel where a green sea turtle and some blacktip reef sharks and nurse sharks among others swim above your head.
There's a basin with smaller animals you can touch (there's a scout at this station) and there are numerous times where so called rangers give talks or feed the animals.
At the end there's the gift shop and a café.
You get a stamp at the entrance so you may re-enter the exhibition for the whole day.
