We stayed at Ibis Hotel Hannover City for one night two years in a row.
It is a good quiet hotel a little away from the centre, but very comfortable when you drive: there is plenty of free street parking on the right from its entrance.
The rooms are not big, but accurate. No fridge.
Breakfast is excellent.
I would rather rate this Ibis somewhere between 3 and 4 star (2 star is its official rating).
Stayed for only a night as stop over in Hannover and was disappointed by the quality of the hotel considering Ibis is a big chain of hotels. The hotel looked very full and needed a new makeover. I stayed in a double room with 2 single beds with a friend and the beds were very high and uncomfortable. It was very basic and bearable as we only stayed for a night. The only plus side to the hotel is that they have parking.
The Ibis, as most other Ibis hotel has a functional style. It offers basic comfort, nothing else. The interior is Ibis standard and the rooms are small. In my room the air-conditioning did not work, therefore the room temperature was unpleasant. Breakfast was OK, basic and no extras. Breakfast room was crowded and we had to wait for a seat. Wifi is free bt slow and you have to re-activate your account each day.
Parking is close to the hotel at 5 Euro per day. U-Bahn station within 200m.
Despite the drawbacks it is an acceptable budget hotel for a short business stay.
Straightforward budget hotel with fresh, clean, but sparse rooms. We had a very quite roon in the annex. Easy to reach from the train station on foot and the city centre is also a short walk.
Friendly staff and a good breakfast buffet. Comfy bed, small but spotless bathroom.
Not exciting but reasonable value.
