The hotel is in walking distance to the beautiful old city (unesco world hertigage) and the shopping boulevard. Friendly stuff. Easy to drive to Usedom, Darss and Ruegen.
We liked it and would coming back one day.

Dear Feneta,

Thank you for the great review you gave our hotel to your stay. It is in fact only a few steps from us to the old town of Stralsund and to the Ozeaneum. We are very glad that you feel our hotel is very pleasant. Thanks for your great feedback.

We would like to welcome you again to our arcona HOTEL BALTIC and wish you all the best. With cordial greetings from the UNESCO World Heritage Center Stralsund, your team of arcona HOTEL BALTIC & your Nicole Salbrecht.

Hotel is located conveniently near the Ozeanum and about a 15 min walk to old town, but walking in quaint German coastal towns is what it's all about, right? A stop on our way to Sassnitz, we found the rooms clean and the staff at the front desk friendly and willing to speak English. Our room had a bonus view of the Baltic if we angled just right.

Hotel Baltic is conveniently located, near the waterfront and a ten minute walk from the old city centre. Our room overlooked the water.

The front desk staff was very welcoming, professional and helpful, helping us with restaurant bookings and recommendations.

The room itself was large and airy, if a bit dated decor and furniture wise. The bathroom had been recently remodeled and was clean and modern. As for the beds though... I think I've slept on softer rocks...

Breakfast had a generous spread of bread, cheeses, meats, yoghurts and so on and most of the food was well cooked and good. However, the breakfast area was a bit cluttered, so navigating the ailes was a struggle, with people constantly getting in the way of each other.

Honourable mention: The wifi was excellent!

Had booked 3 nights through travel agent. 2 couples. The hotel is only 10 mins walk from city center, harbour etc. And in close proximity to small lakes, which we jogged around in the morning (5 km). Good size of room, towards garden, clean and tidy. 2 of the meals were included. We had 2 courses, where we could choose between the first courses and the main course. Good food served by friendly staff. Coffee and drinks in the bar with good attention by the bartender. Excellent breakfast buffet with lots to choose from. Al in all a pleasant stay

Hotel is very unwelcoming- front desk staff treats You like a problem because they have to start working. Doesn't matter check in or check out. Rooms are late 80's DDR standard. Sea view rooms are in fact Rugia island and bridge view. Very poor breakfast served in very limited space at lobby bar.
I would not stay there again
