If you love Antique, you must stay at the Antik Hotel Bristol!
Conveniently located, very efficient and friendly staff, rooms are perfectly cleaned, great Buffet breakfast, free WiFi and most importantly very quiet. A place you can get a really great night sleep! Love it and I definitely recommend it!

Nice play to stay after a busy day! Quiet room despite is in front of a concur avenue.
Nice breakfast and friendly staff. No restaurant available for lunch or dinner but there are nice ones in the nearby. No big room. Train station is not far away but consider a taxi if you carry heavy baggage

We stayed here for three nights over a weekend. The staff were courteous and helpful, the room clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast varied and tasty. The cost is reasonable. The hotel is situated about fifteen minutes on foot from the Cathedral and although the road is busy the room was quiet. I would stay here again.

Work recently took me to Cologne and I selected Antik Bristol for the price and location. Turned out to be a great decision. It's a charming clean boutique hotel with polite employees and a broad buffet breakfast (includes yogurts, eggs, sausage, sliced meats, cheeses, breads, fresh fruit).

My only complaints were the hard mattress and squeaky bed frame (it was only me so don't get any ideas). But as you can see in the photos, this hotel plays up the boutique-ness so expect exactly that - small euro size elevator with classical decor. That said certain aspects like the bathrooms have been updated with stylish white marble. (But this is Europe so bring your own shampoo etc. they only provide a shampoo/conditioner/body wash combo bottle)

Quick note about location:
This hotel is not located in the main tourist area which I found refreshing. There's a beautiful park just a few blocks away and a popular area for restaurants about 6 blocks south along the ring. Also, the main train station and cathedral are about a 10-15 min walk away so you'll probably want to take a cab if you come in with a suitcase but are fine on foot to see the sites.

In case you're looking to see the city in one day, which is totally doable, here's my recommendation: set out north to the botanic garden via local parks and neighborhoods, take the cable car south across the Reine, walk south through the park, go up in the tower to get a birds eye view of the city, cross back over the river on foot, stop in the main city center to see the cathedral and have lunch along the river (tons of restaurant options from take away to sit down), continue south along the river maybe stopping at the chocolate museum, turn inland along the ring, stop for a cold Kolsh beer at any number of bars/cafes, finish the loop by strolling through the different neighborhoods and parks. ENJOY!
