The idea of an exotic all-you-can-eat buffet, is really quite tempting. But the truth is that how much of this menu which is laced with Thai and Indian cuisine is genuinely Mongolian is questionable.
Opting away from the chance to gorge myself at the self service buffet, I went for the 'a la carte' option. Bad mistake! Patience is supposedly a virtue but the latency of service was simply infuriating. The restaurant was hardly heaving and yet catching a waiter's attention proved more difficult than lassoing a wild yak. The time lapse between courses made me think I would have been better off handwriting my requests and sending them by post. When waiters did make themselves available they were unengaged and aloof.
The rather tepid experience can be summarised by one of the menu options: 'vegetarian tempura' (Mongolian?) which disappointingly consisted of two battered slivers of carrot sticks - bland and ineffectual.
