Quite well located in Dusseldorf, the check in was easy, rooms are spacious and modern, quite stylish.
Food on the ground floor was ok, nothing really special, but good enough.
I tried the spa and that was also pretty good overall.
Ideal venue for a quick in and out of the city.

Good location: you just need to cross a beautiful park to get to the old town. Knowledgeable and helpful staff, good size room and bathroom. Good variety and choices for breakfast. You must pay to park in their garage, as well as for wi-fi in the room. I would recommend this place or stay here again if I ever return to Dusseldorf.

We stayed for only one night in this hotel. The location is near the city centre, only a walk from all the busy streets. The overall impression was clean, trendy and comfortable. The modern bar is really one not to miss, just like the spa/wellness. I would stay again if we go to Dusseldorf.

I've stayed here now a number of times for business, and therefore experienced a few of the rooms. The reception area is a good size, and I have rarely had to wait to get served. The hotel overall was built fairly recently, and is therefore very modern and clean. All rooms have free wifi (not high speed - that costs extra), a good selection in the mini bar, and good comfortable beds. They even provide a pillow menu!

The bathrooms are very modern too - most of the rooms just have a shower. I think only some of the deluxe rooms have a separate bath - I've only once had one. The showers are a good size, and the toiletries include conditioner (very rare in German hotels).

The gym is small-ish but never crowded - there are a couple of bikes, steppers, runnings machines and a cross trainer. There's also a sauna but I avoid that as - it being in Germany - there's generally a lot of nakedness going on...

The breakfast selection is very good - a wide range of hot food from sausages and bacon to pancakes with maple syrup. There's also a wide range of fruits, yoghurts, cakes, cold meats, breads, cereal etc.

The restaurant varies - this is the only negative point of the hotel. I've found when I've eaten there in the evening that the service can be quite slow, and items on the menu aren't always available. Room service is fine however. The restaurant itself is a good size, and there's quite a nice little outside sitting area for summer. There's also a roofttop terrace, but I've not been up there.

The hotel is right next to a nice park area, which is very pleasant for walks or runs. The town centre is just the other side of the park, and the riverside is also not far either - both an easy walk. There's a tram stop just round the corner. Taxis from the airport to the Melia generally cost around 17 euros.

Room Tip: My advice to fellow visitors, is to specifically ask for rooms facing either the park or the street...

Stayed for 2 nights at the Melia in March.
Had a Suite on the top floor ( great view of the city)
My comment to the Melia is simple and short. I recommend it without any doubt. Both for business or leisure. It is confortable, nice staff, good breakfast. You will get what you pay for and will most likely not feel disapointed.
I am going back Dusseldorf and will stay there everytime. What better recommendation?

Located far enough from the downtown area that it's quiet but close enough to walk. Really comfortable rooms and larger than usual for the average European room. Nice staff although the restaurant staff could be a little friendlier although they still did a good job. The hotel was clean throughout. One of the better breakfast spreads I have found in Europe. Beautiful hotel, great rooms, free internet.

I found some of the staff a little disinterested and not overly helpful but others were great and made up for it.

The restaurant was very pleasant and the food was good - service was a little average. Was not a busy night so waiting so long between drinks etc. was unexpected. Wait staff weren't very knowledgable on the menu, perhaps a language barrier.

Room Tip: I found the bed way too hard - to the point where I had to wrap the doona around me to give some sof...

Dear guest
thank you very much for your feedback on your stay at the Meliá Duesseldorf.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us but at the same time we would like to apologize that we kept you waiting too long in our restaurant. We will take these comments into account when we do the next service training.
Our mattresses are indeed ergonomical and therefore a little harder. We do provide a bed-molton which makes it alot softer. Please be so kind and just mention it when you visit the Meliá Düsseldorf again.
If you should have any questions or wishes please do not hesitate to contact the Guest Experience team at all times.

Kind regards
