A little bit of walking from the downtown area but I think it is worth if you would like to stay in a hotel run by very friendly and helpful people, in a hotel with really big rooms, in a clean hotel, in a hotel with nice breakfast and all these for reasonable price.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights in autumn, the room was pretty big and still had lots of space even though there were four of us, the breakfast was nice, the staff and owners were friendly. The hotel itself is very small and a bit old fasioned, the reception area is also small and so is the adjioning bar but really quiete cosy and central to Koblenz main railway station.

We used the hotel as a base to visit the small towns on the Rhein heading south, as the rail conections are exellent in Germany, we could visit towns on both sides of the river. The hotel also arranged to have hired bikes delivered for us.

Stayed here prior to a Rhine cruise. The hotel, while not centered in the "downtown" area is close to the train station. A bit of a walk to the cruise-boat landing. The room was surprising large and nicely appointed. Breakfast was good, standard B&B fare. The people running the place were very nice. HIghly recommended, a great value.

I stayed here two nights as part of an EF Tour. EF tours are economical education tours, and the accomodations are pretty bare bones. This was my favorite hotel on our 12 day trip. The rooms were clean, and pretty spacious for European rooms. We had a room with two twin beds. It had a desk, a closet with shelves, a bench, and a small flat screen tv. The beds were ok, and the bathroom was suprisingly large (again, by European standards). We also had breakfast here, and it was by far the best breakfast offered by any of the five hotels we stayed at. They had an assortment of breads, cereals, yogurt, eggs, orange juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Stayed in the Hotel Hamm last week. It was fine, nothing special. The rooms are all different but ours was a real blast from the past. I guess it is authentic 70s.
The hotel is a good 20 minute walk from the town centre but close to the main station.
Breakfast was good and we got chocolate rabbits as an Easter gift which was sweet.
Parking is an additional EUR 6.50
