We visited this place in an afternoon on a warm day in June. Their lemonade saved us before we went on for their fine selection of Andalusian food. I rate four star as they do not take credit card and I had to walk to a bank for cash ;)

Tucked away in this seaside town is a serene oasis for quiet conversation, good food and properly prepared and presented teas, including the traditional mint tea.
Excellent food- we're vegetarian and had the vegan full meal. More than we could eat, but delicious with fresh bread, warm from the oven. We only heard flamenco guitar one night.
Also enjoyed the evening groups of younger folk sipping tea and discussing the important matters of life at tables on the walkway outside.
Highly recommend for an additional cultural flavour.

The lemonade is so good, perfect after a warm afternoon at the alcazar. We also had a selection of almond cakes and pastries with gluten free options. Lovely atmosphere and friendly people. Two of us came back for lunch the next day. We shared the kofta, pimiento salad and bread - it was delicious.

We were told that this was a special place, but the reason we went to eat lunch there was just for having descended from the Alcazaba (I guess many a tourist winds up there like this), and having to drive to the airport afterwards, so "no alcohol = all the better". Charming setting (unfortunately, the outdoor tables were taken). Food unsophisticated, like nice simple home cooking (therefore, should maybe a little bit less expensive?), bad timing in serving the various items we ordered - I got my first and second course almost at the same time, way before my husband got his ... Still, not bad at all, just lacking competition - as an incentive?

After visiting the Alcazaba a few minutes walk down a quaint alley is the peace, quiet and coolness of this tea room. Do try the refreshing green drink of lemons, herbs especially mint. Also serve delightful selection of cakes
